Angela's Fresh Market — Attraction in Garden City

I purchased a pecan pie from Angela's because a friend of mine said they were AMAZING!!!! I made the mistake of buy one here at the beginning of the tourist season....Apparently, they made up quite a LARGE batch and placed those in the freezer. The FIRST one I purchased I took back and the gave me another. It was taken back because when I cut into the pie, it was watery, the sugar had RE-crystallized, AND the pecans tasted OLD. NASTY. So, I called them and they told me to bring it back. So, I did. AND, they gave me another pie. My daughter picked up the pie and moved it from side to side and you could see the LIQUID moving under the OLD pecans. Yes, my husband cut into this pie and found the EXACT SAME THING. I'm guessing because people are only here on vacation they don't call and complain about the NASTINESS....They just throw stuff in the garbage and mark it up as a lesson learned......I'll be sure to let all of my guests know that the pecan pie...

Our family stopped here at least 4 times throughout the week. Here is everything we tried.

Crab dip - amazing, appears might be spicy, but was not. Great flavor.

Peach Cobbler - outstanding. Paired it with vanilla ice cream.

Fresh peaches - nice afternoon snacks.

Blueberry Cobbler - there were surprise peaches in it, don't know if it is standard. But, again, amazing.

Sugar cookies - the consumers of these are unable to type, but going through a dozen among the gremlins indicate they are pleasurable.

Seafood - 3 pounds of scallops, 2 pounds of shrimp, we grilled them. They offer a Cajun variety in shrimp.

Rum cakes - chocolate chip was great. Flavorful without the rum being overwhelming. Banana nut is pending trial, but expect it to...

Angela’s Fresh Market was just about a complete waste of time when we visited this business. When we entered this business we were not greeted even though they clearly saw us. Then as we looked around inside the business, we didn’t see anything “Fresh”. They did have some interesting looking homemade pies. We stayed inside of this business for a few minutes and we saw at least two employees that clearly worked at this business and again they said absolutely nothing. They didn’t ask us anything. And they didn’t make any verbal contact with us at all. So after a few minutes we left. Again no communication with the employees. We will not be returning to this business. We don’t recommend...
