Our group of 12 (half the group in Bear Lake for a destination family reunion) had a blast spending 4 hours in 4-seaters in the mountains. The staff helped us plan a route suitable to our time and (lack of) experience. None of us had driven these before. We got back on time and happily covered in dust! We highly recommend including Peter Sinks and Kearl Pond in your routing, especially the latter for the best views. Before you quote the split cost among friends for a ride be aware that while the stated rental price is accurate, there are other costs involved — Taxes, optional insurance (for us $30 per vehicle), a tip for the setup team (we declined on the reservation but said we would tip cash—and did), and refilling gas (for us about $20 per vehicle). For 3 four-seaters and 12 people for four hours it worked out to $127 per person, all inclusive. Helmets are recommended but optional (Mandatory under 16 or 17). Goggles are HIGHLY recommended, especially with a group where someone will always be in the dust of the others. Both are included in the rental. Some may want a basic mouth cover (bandana/disposable mask) just for very dusty areas. Unlike I read about some operators, you do not have to wash the vehicles after. None of the above is meant negatively on Epic — just some rental advice from us to other novice renters. We loved it. All the people were great, and we would use them again in a heartbeat!

WHOA!!! The landscapes of Bear Lake are truly amazing and beautiful and what better way to see it than in a machine that can get you there. Our group of 16 rented 4 razors (2 900's and 2 1000's) and were blown away with the performance of these machines. The condition of the machines were typical: used, rugged, comfortable, fast, strong, agile and met our standards. The staff was excellent from answering questions on phone calls and then handling the paper work in person. Maggie helped us and she not only got us all squared away but did it with a friendly honest personality and smile. She recommended trails, cautioned us about other trails and overall gave amazing service. This is a MUST DO!! Can't you tell by the dusty smiles?

My wife and I were very pleased with our Epic experience. We rented a UTV (2 Seater Yamaha RMAX2 LE). Cameron was wonderful getting us setup to have a safe and exciting adventure through the Franklin Basin trails. Our Garden City excursion continued the next day as Jackson instructed us on the operation of a Sea Doo pontoon (5 Man SeaDoo Switch Boat 230 HP) so we could safely navigate Bear Lake. Both Cameron and Jackson were professional, informative and friendly. The cost of these rentals were fair, and both pieces of equipment were in excellent condition. I recommend this business to other tourists looking to have a day of fun!

My family and I rented 3 side by sides and they were in horrible condition, they all had 2,500-3,800 miles. All the machines where making screeching sounds. One of the male workers or owner called the mechanic because we brought it to their attention and he said it was nothing. During this whole 5 minute conversation with the mechanic, he was smoking in front of my family including a 4 year old. We said something about him smoking and he didn’t acknowledge us asking him not to smoke. He shouldn’t have to be asked anyway. This was extremely unprofessional. Then we noticed something was wrong with one of the tires after we drove for a short time and had to come back again. They said that this had just happened to one of their other machines and not to worry they would give us a new machine. They NEVER said we had to pay for a low bald tire. All the tires were balding and in horrible condition. Then when we finished and came back they said we owed them $209 for the tire. We tried to explain what happened and the female manager kept interrupting and talking over us; being so rude. She never was there and didn’t interact with us all day. She even said that she had no idea what happened because she wasn’t here and the female worker said that she called the male owner or manager and he said it was fine just switch the side by side. We were getting frustrated because the female manager who already admitted to having no idea what happened because she was was too unprofessional to listen to her female worker or the customers went on to say how we were not acting as adults because we were disagreeing with the charge. Then she continued to insult us, the customers. I couldn’t believe that she was the manager. She had no professionalism and shouldn’t be a manager. Then after she told us to act like adults and not to yell, (NO ONE raised their voice.) She said okay then you don’t owe anything this time. Then she walked away without another word. We asked the female worker if we were good to go. She said we were good to go. So we left. I will NEVER do business here again. I value HONEST, PROFESSIONAL companies and they are not one of them,...

My family rented 3 side by side. They were in the WORST shape when picked them up (a lot of miles, horrible noise). We called the mechanic over to check (who was extremely rude and smoking with children under 5 in the vehicle). He just said nothing was on and we went on our way. We noticed through our drive that something seemed wrong with the tire, so we drove it back and noticed it was deflated. We checked all the rest of the tires and noticed they all had REALLY bad wear and tear. We immediately went and told them. They said not a problem it happened to a machine last week and gave us a new side by side. THAT WAS IT. End of day, we take them back and the girl manager said you owe us $209 for the tire. Of course we are frustrated! We start trying to explain what happened, she keeps cutting us off and saying that this is there policy and it's our fault. She then proceeds to tell us to take a breath and have a conversation. We again explain to her and she says, oh that's a different story, I didn't know that. Next time instead of yelling try and actually have a conversation. (Keep in mind we never yelled once and we tried to explain but she kept cutting us off). SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL group of people -especially the manager. We will never use them again and will tell everyone we know not to go there and to take their business elsewhere.

**edit: you said we were good and so we all left. We stood there for a long time making sure everything was good before we left and you said it was. We never 'ran out without addressing or paying for things' that wasn't what the problem was. The problem was the unprofessional behavior from the manager. Your machines were heavily used and everything was rattling from the get go -which we addressed before we left and you said we...

We’ve rented from Epic before and they did a good job, but that’s what we pay them for. It only takes one bad experience to lose customers. We had a group of nine. We packed and drove two vehicles up to Bear Lake for a weekend on the trails. Three from our group rented a side-by-side elsewhere in town and picked it up first thing in the morning without issue. We reserved our 6-person 8hr side-by-side rental online from Epic (and completed all their payment forms, waivers, rental agreement, damage agreement, etc.) before leaving home. We were ready for our 10am start and drove our group to Garden City with the other rented machine. At 9:50am Epic called and left a voicemail saying they dropped the ball and didn’t have the machine. On a beautiful fall day, there weren’t any 6-person side-by-sides left to rent anywhere in the area. One place 15 mins up Logan Canyon had two 4-person vehicles left for a 2hr rental. So to get my group out for 1/4 of the trail time we had planned, ended up costing me the same ($400+ tax) as my 8hr rental would have. I had to pay for three unused seats. Staff was apologetic and offered a 15% off coupon thinking a ruined weekend was worth only $60. We settled on 30% off my next trip, although who wants to chance a bad experience again? A call the night before might have dulled the pain, but offering 10 mins notice (which we got in the parking lot) and no solution is not...
