We have been fishing here since the pond first opened. It's great for kids and if you are a fishing junkie and don't care where you fish as long as your line is in the water. They keep it well stocked with trout. There are bigger ones in there but you just have to be lucky or know how to catch them. My boy has caught a 18 inch trout out of here. He was 7 so he was pretty excited. Over the years the banks have started to bee over run by weeds and at times can be difficult to find a good spot if there are already a few people here. The first 5 feet of the water in places has gotten a lot of moss. If you sink your bate to far you have a good chance of getting a snag. I used to like bringing my boys fishing here because it was a good spot for them to learn how to fish without me spending to much time untangling line. It's still a great pond. It just needs...
Read moreThe Park was very fun to visit but the grounds were very muddy and wet. It looked like they were improving the parking, but it was not ideal for little ones. The pond and the park were great and I will definitely check back to see if it has improved next time in nearby! Note, fishing permit required for ages 12+.

This trip the water near the shore was littered with bobbers that had been broken off in the weeds. Nearly every cast results in a harvest of weeds.
