I am thoroughly impressed with the Islamic Society of Orange County. This well-organized and disciplined establishment has truly set the bar high when it comes to community gatherings. I had the privilege of attending their recent Eid gathering, which was nothing short of spectacular. Despite the thousands of guests in attendance, the event ran like a well-oiled machine. The attention to detail in organizing such a large-scale event was truly commendable.
The Eid gathering was a true celebration, filled with an abundance of delicious halal food that catered to a variety of tastes. The thoughtful inclusion of numerous activities for kids added an extra layer of enjoyment, making it a family-friendly affair. It's evident that the Islamic Society of Orange County understands the needs of the Muslim community and goes above and beyond to create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all.
For Muslims in the area, this is undoubtedly a go-to place. The dedication to providing meaningful experiences and fostering a sense of community is unparalleled. I can't wait to attend more events and continue to be a part of the wonderful initiatives organized by the Islamic Society of Orange County. Five stars...
Read moreI truly appreciate and love this community and the efforts of this masjid. However, after spending some time here, I have a genuine concern regarding the Quran classes (IQRA). The masjid charges fees for teaching Quran, whereas such knowledge should ideally be provided free of cost or on a voluntary donation basis.
It’s worth noting that the masjid regularly raises funds in the name of Quran education. This raises the question: why aren’t these classes offered free to the community?
Allah mentions in the Quran that Prophets did not seek any compensation for conveying the message of Allah:
📖 Surah Al-Furqan (25:57) “Say, ‘I do not ask you for any reward for this; it is only a reminder for the worlds.’”
📖 Surah Saa'd (38:86) “Say, ‘I do not ask you for it any payment, and I am not of the pretenders.’”
📖 Surah Al-An’am (6:90) “Say, ‘I do not ask you for it any payment. It is nothing but a reminder for the worlds.’”
These verses remind us that teaching and spreading the Qur’an should be done sincerely for the sake of Allah, without seeking worldly compensation. I hope the management reconsiders this approach to make Quran education accessible to all,...

i went in on a random day for coffee, not even knowing it was at a temple, and it was closed for prayer, so I joined for prayer. The preacher person spoke in english had common sense things to say—this generation’s problems, screens, etc.—and it was actually great to sit, listen to, amongst so many people. The prayer part was very short, totally doable, even for this generation, lol.
there were fresh oranges squeezed by a funny contraption, samosas, sweets outside. The coffee shop was jam packed after prayer, and only charged me $5. And at the coffee shop, you can read a little intro on Islam there, along with other books...
