I came here during the late lunch hours so there was no wait. Although there is also just a bunch of small tables, there is a possibility of a big party coming here as I saw yesterday. They will accommodate by pushing all the small tables together forming a long row against the seats against the wall.
The location of Chada Thai is a bit odd. It sits in the other side of a plaza which contains a 99 cent store, 85C Bakery, and a handful of other Vietnamese Restaurants. Parking here is plentiful because it does sit at the other side of a much busier plaza, but I can imagine it being crowded during peak hours still.
The food and service here was great. The service was a little slow, but it was largely because of the larger party being served first. However, as soon as they got out order, we had our food on the table in 10 minutes. We ordered the Pad Kee Mow as well as a Pineapple Fried Rice. They were both really good and nicely plated. The Pineapple Fried Rice took home the prize though because that was the most tastiest Pineapple Fried Rice I have had in a while. The Thai Tea is also served in a cute mason jar and was...
Read moreLooks like the quality of the food has gone down since the Covid pandemic. The Fish cake looks like it has been fried twice based on the color. Same is true for the Spicy Catfish dish. Fried food now has a really unhealthy dark color and the texture is hard and tough. Fried food is already unhealthy by itself but double fried is down right toxic to a person's health. This has happened twice already in two months.
Looks like the level of authenticity of their food is no longer what it was. The Spicy Eggplant with pork is supposed to come with Ground pork as stated on the menu and is typically how it is served in Thailand. Instead, the restaurant is serving it with sliced pork which may be healthier but doesn't taste like true Thai cooking.
To be fair, the prices are a bit lower than other nearby Thai restaurants, but I rather have them increase the price per item by a couple of dollars and try to keep the food and...
Read moreThis is the second time I have been to Chada Thai and the second time my girlfriend and I have totally enjoyed our experience. The interior of Chada is pretty close quarters, but this probably helped make the service what it was. We got Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai (basic, I know, I eat other noodle dishes, I promise) and they brought out our soup first. It was a little spicier than the last time so I was demolishing my water and as soon as it was gone somebody was over to refill my cup 🙏 As soon as our delicious soup was finished they brought out our Pad Thai, which was equally tasty. After that we got some Sticky Rice w/ Mango and oh my lanta, it was some of the best I have ever had. Not only was the service and food excellent, but our check got to us in a timely manner as we were on our way to a movie. Definitely a perfect way to start date night with the love of my life. 10/10 will go back to...
