Most of the shelves were practically bare. When I stood in line to ask a question about a specific item, the cashier first told me that I needed to go to customer service, mind you I had no idea that they had a customer service booth and then she asked me what I was looking for and I showed her the picture. She stated with assured confidence that the item was on aisle 6 or 9. I checked both aisles thoroughly and after not being able to find what I was looking for since she didn't tell me where the customer service counter was, I went to look for it. I showed the employee at the counter the picture and she stated aisles 4 or 5. I was finally able to find the specific item that I was looking for and for not going to this store and having to go through that, I wouldn't want to go through it again. I had to do some seriously looking to find this item, no thanks to the employee behind the cash register and the other employee behind the customer service counter. Even though the employee had some idea of what aisle(s) to check, it would've been more helpful to show me exactly where it was. I felt like I was on a treasure hunt. Had I not searched every shelf thoroughly, I wouldn't have found it. It was in a place the average person wouldn't have looked. Even though they were out of the the item I was looking for, I was able to find it in another brand. After finding the item I I went back to the line I stood in to ask the question and let the cashier know where the item actually was, so in the future she won't hopefully send another first time customer on a treasure hunt or wild goose chase. Read moreExtremely bad experience with this chain stores: Customer Service does not answer phone if you choose speak Chinese, but answer phone immediately if you choose speak English, Potentially Discriminated corporate culture? (Chinese Customers are their majority customers and they open/operate their stores mostly in Chinese/Asian populated cities) Use Covid-19 as an excuse for all-no-return policy, not found in any other stores, such as Ralph, Vons, Target, Walmart, HMart, and all other stores I shopped. My first encounter! Not inform customers about all-no-return policy properly. Printed on receipts "after you paid", what good on this kind of notification. A No-Return sign put inside the lower corner of entry door with so many other signs/notices, Not visible at all. (They should learn from Daiso stores, informing customers at check-out "before" customers pay.) This is not my only bed experience with them. I had founded food with mold in their flagship store, San Gabriel store, reported to manager, but manger blame to the supplier/vender, without apologized or felt sorry at all. Read moreCashier melt down. Be weary of cashier melt down. 2 customers ahead of me did not get his membership card entered in to the paying system. Cashier says she did not ask for the members card because she did not recognize him as a member card holder of Ranch 99. She claims she remebers all the card member holder of Ranch99.. And therefore did not ask him for the membership card. Fortunately the customer did not leave after paying for his grocery and wanted to see the customer service... Good for him. But unfortunate for the next two customers... Cashier's attitude became progressively worse... When it came to the 2nd customer ...moi. She was punching my membership card phone number into the computer panel. And when I mean punching the numbers in, literally she was PUNCHING the computer screen. Phew.... Lucky me I got out there in time. Packed up my two bags of groceries and hurried off. The first customer went back in the cashier line to have his bag of groceries re-entered in to the system with his membership card....
