Why are we getting a review for this dump I have no idea. I left my first review on my second visit and I would never ever recommend anybody to go here. The hell that I had to go through yesterday to find another place to take my animal to be put down as he was suffering was absurd, lack of empathy, and unprofessionalism to the fullest! The original appointment that was made on May 3 was for my husband to take our cat to be put down at 4 PM, but that was disregarded when they chose to close early and not informed anyone. Not a phone call, not a text, not an email, nothing! Even as you walk up to the door, there was no sign listing why they chose to close early. Did they forget about the other appointments that were made for the remainder of the day till 5 PM? My cat is a patient at that hospital so they cannot give me the excuse that they could not reach out to me. They also knew about the situation since the visit that this review is on April 30, 2024. After my husband arrived early at 3:57pm, he contacted me with disbelief and anger. They have no idea how horrific it was in my house for people to come say goodbye to our beloved Orlando. As I’m trying to calm my child down I’m also trying to call multiple places to find to put him down as he suffering. Where was the empathy in calling the owners and letting them know that may be an emergency happened and they would be closing early. I am beyond disgusted that they can call this place an animal hospital when they don’t care about the animals. All this animal hospital is, is a money sucking place dump that only care about the next dollar. Not the animal and not empathy that some owners have to face when having to make the hardest decision to put their beloved family member down. I was grateful, after calling multiple veterinarians, Bond Veterinarian in Paramus, Nj was able to take my cat and make his way crossing over the rainbow bridge easier. Not only did they squeeze him in but gave my husband an ample amount of time for him to stay and leave when he was ready. I was even given an amazing choice to pick and an urn for him to come to our family in. I will be taking my traumatic experience for not only myself, but my family to corporate. If I had got a call so I could’ve made other engagements that would be one thing but to not even care to make a phone call or send an email letting people know that they were closing early is unexcused. My cat wasn’t going in there for normal check up. He was going to be put down because he was suffering on a scheduled appointment that was made with their office. I left the information if anybody chooses to go to a place that really cares about not only your animal, but your feelings and emotions. The two remaining pictures are the choices they gave us to pick and the last moment of my beloved Orlando. Unfortunately, I will always remember the hell I had to go through to find another place to put my poor, suffering cat down instead of someone being professional and letting their customers know they had to close. I’m sure I could’ve made other arrangements if I was just informed.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Do NOT bring your pets here. They do not care about them, all they want is your money and to have you in and out. I have a German Shepard, he is the kindest and smartest dog I have ever encountered, and he is not your typical overly protective/reactive shepard, he is EXTREMELY calm & to see him in the position he was today terrified me.

I got to Banfield for my appointment (He was due for a physical & vaccines) The head vet tech at the front took my information & then said he would take Bruno in the back. I asked why they needed to take him in the back, he proceeded to tell me ā€œthe manager doesn’t want people in the back its too crowded today, (he was the manager, not sure why he was speaking in third person, but anyways he then said) Bruno will be in and out you have nothing to worry aboutā€ I then told him, I am always in the room with Bruno as shepards are high anxiety dogs, he is a lot calmer if I am there and they always* allow me in the room with Bruno because he gets very scared. He ended up not letting me back there and telling me Bruno would be right out ā€œits just a physicalā€

The vet tech came out from the back about a minute later and told me ā€œhes chillin you have nothing to worry aboutā€ so I was at ease. About 2 minutes later another tech comes out nervously laughing saying they needed me in the back for Bruno asap. I got so nervous and asked if he was okay and she walked out the room to get the vet and Bruno. I have never ever seen my dog act like that in his 5 years. He was shaking, his eyes were red, you could feel his body heat, he was hyperventilating, and restless. THERE IS NO REASON FOR HIS EYES TO BE RED NOR HIM SHAKING AND HYPERVENTILATING THE WAY HE WAS. I asked what happened in there because the head vet tech just told me ā€œhe was fineā€ They then proceeded to tell me that my dog is ā€œtoo anxious and german shepards don’t act like that normally & that they aren’t able to finish his appointment. They then said, ā€œthis will traumatize him so next time he comes we need to put him under a sedativeā€ FOR WHAT?!? I specifically told them they allow me in the room for this specific reason. There was note of it. They then said ā€œsomeone must of traumatized your dog because this isn’t normalā€ Excuse me? Maybe if they had listened to what I was saying from the first place my dog wouldn’t have needed to go through all that. & When I mentioned to the vet and other techs that I basically begged the managing head vet tech to be in the room because he is way calmer and they always allow me in there, they ignored it & responded with ā€œYea i don’t know whats wrong with your dog, but the sedative will allow us to do our jobā€ and that ā€œthe rooms were fullā€ BUT there was 3 empty rooms & theres no need for a sedative FOR A PHYSICAL EXAM.

Cancelled my plan, will never be coming here again. As I waited to check out, the head vet tech did not even look my way. & Completely dismissed everything that...

I have been going to this banfield location for over two years now with my dog. Normally I love this location and the staff but clearly new staff has been hired and this place has become the same nightmare you would have when going to the secaucus location, we live over a half hour away from Garfield and would travel to this location because of how horrible the secaucus location is and the secaucus location is only ten minutes away from us. I was told that my dog who had an appointment in September because nothing close could be given and we tried to get an appointment in June could come in on Saturday 8/7 just for his allergy shot because his allergies were really bad and could not wait till September. We were told a nurse can quickly do it, the doctor also gave the okay for this. We were told just to call ahead when we were on our way. We follow those instructions and called we were given a horrible attitude and received zero help and told that would not at all be possible. When I gave up trying to go to this location after the horrible customer service I then asked to please be given my dogs records so I can go else where, whoever this person is truly needs to be retrained. I asked for the name of the allergy shot, that was all, first she told me he’s behind on a shot, didn’t care for that information I didn’t ask for it, second she then tells me he got a allergy dermatitis shot, that is a diagnosis not the name of the shot when I told her she’s giving me the wrong information she proceeded to hang up on me and then when we called back several times did not answer the phone! Due to this treatment I will be canceling my wellness plan and getting my dogs records and going elsewhere with my dog , it’s impossible to get an appointment, the front desk treatment is absolutely horrible, my time was wasted today and my day with my family completely ruined because we now have to scramble to get our dog relief from his allergies. I’m truly disappointed with how this location has become complete trash and just following suit with other locations that...
