Horrible experience at Bass Pro Shop today. I went in looking for a 3.5 horsepower outboard motor. The gentleman helping me said if they had one in stock that I could take it home today. The price was right it was $967. I followed him over where he asked a coworker if they had some in stock, and they said yes he came back to me and said I'll be able to take one home today. He said all they have to do is put some gas and oil in it and the motor is ready to go. That I would just need to fill out some paperwork and I'd be on my way. We sat down for a moment and we were filling out the paperwork he left ask another question and when he came back he said they informed him that they wouldn't be able to be deliver it until tomorrow. So I repeated what he said, all it needs is some gas and oil in order for me to take it home and he said yes. Then I said, so it will be delivered to the store tomorrow? He said oh no it's in the store today. So I pondered this while he was still taking some of my information. And then I asked him, if it's in the store today and it only weighs 50 lb and all it needs is a little gas and oil how come I can't take it today? He said the guy that works on them has to go to Grapevine and he's got other things he needs to do and so he can't get to it today. I almost busted out laughing! I sat there for a few more minutes then I informed him if I can't take this home today I'm going to leave. I said the guy that told you that he can't get to it till tomorrow could have put some oil and gas in it instead of coming down here to tell you that he can't get to it today. So I told him if I can't take this motor with me today I'm not coming back tomorrow, I live 25 to 30 miles away. He said oh wait a minute I'll go check and see if we can get you taken care of today. He comes back a little bit later and says, we got you fixed up today but it's going to be an hour and a half before before we can do it. He says the guy is going to lunch right now and it'll be an hour and a half before we can take care of you. I told this moron I'm not waiting an hour and a half for this guy to get back from lunch in order for me to buy a motor from a Bass Pro Shop dealership. Bass Pro Shop can kiss my ass, I will not shop...

Growing up - I was fascinated at the selection available through the mail catalog and the prices were always great.
SO - When they opened up this location, I expected it to be my favorite local hangout.
HOWEVER - as I have always made this place a stop for shopping - I come to realize that as of all my store visits - I never purchase anything as I realized it is MUCH CHEAPER through Amazon.
My last visit (I am DONE with shopping here) was to see if they had any red-dot magnifiers and discovered a Vortex that was priced at $229.00.
I decided to buy it if they would honor a price matching discount for what I knew of another on-line outlet (Amazon) where it was available DIRECT from AMAZON at $169.00.
The Gun Salesmen (whom are never friendly to me, have never let me test fire a handgun when I was shopping for a single action Semi (and went elsewhere to buy it) nor act in a manner conducive to sales and customer retention) - told me that they do not price match. PERIOD.
The manner and dismissiveness was overwhelming and rather than challenge him, I decided to call Bass Pro Main Number and see if that is accurate.
The fact is - they do price match - but not with every online competitor (such as Amazon or Cheaper Than Dirt).
Regardless - I took the final hint from the Salesman.
Not knowing what specific personal issue that gun salesman had against me or why it is consistent - I have no idea.
All I do know is, I am done dropping by for the sake of shopping for deals and consistently being disappointed.
Definitely no props from me.
Gander Mountain a few miles further down the road. B&S Guns at least has professionals that will let you examine a fire-arm so that you know every detail...

I have a credit card and needed a bow style blind.. the return girl could not get a manager due the rainbow and sunshine that was a meeting that was going on during my return..the managers had-food brought in so Treats/donuts available. After the unopened shells with tap on the boxes the lowest level employees said we cannot take the 2 boxs back. The manager telling the girl was in the middle of eating a meeting company paid for breakfast herself hy no one such as a grown man cim an speak with m. A Loyal Customer.
Shame On Yall.. you have no employees that care. They just want the hour and go home..
Maybe stop eating we love each other meetings and try training your employees.
71.00 for 2 boxes of 6 shot 20 instead of 12 (ok my bad).
Both boxes had tape and un opened. But no one would look. Just a 12 yr old nervous girl..
After she said we don’t return I left the 2 boxes there on the counter. Due to her saying i could have altered them. That is a terrible thing to be accused of… WOW Y’all’s Suck..
