J & F House of Terror — Attraction in Garland

Went tonight in a group all tickets were scanned and one showed up as redeemed. We were pulled to the side and was offered to purchase another ticket or wait till Monday to receive a refund. The co owner Frank was helpful in stating this has never happened before however they didn't have anyway in front of them to show when the ticket was redeemed even though it wasn't. Then the co owner Julie got an attitude and stated she can't prove what we did or if she scanned the same qr code twice. She then had to switch to another phone to scan qr codes as hers was having issues and not scanning. Clearly this was a system issue which is fine but Julie attitude was unnecessary and uncalled for. She then started quoting how many tickets they sell to this even which wasn't necessary either. All in all bad experience and will not be going back or recommending this place if you want to be treated with respect when a system issue happens. *Update received refund after it showed that our tickets were double scanned by Julie which she stated , we resolved this over text after it was resolved I asked to not be contacted any further after resolution, Julie then called me to explain how she felt attacked by us cause we were what was happening, she then finally apologized after for the third time telling me she got the response we got because she felt attacked and felt like we were mad at her. I still do not appreciate being blamed for a human error nor her damage control phone call blaming me for why she yell in my face pointing her finger. Still will not be going back although they offered. My family of 14 and I went yesterday on 10-19-2024 and we had sooo much fun it was our 1st time. I bought my tickets and 1 of my family members backed out and I didn't get to much of it and I got pushed into one of the walls and face planted and I was upset. So I asked my family if they would wait and let me go back through it they said yeah so since I had an extra ticket my niece and I went to ask the guy that was running the front door and i told him what happened and to see if it was ok if I can use the extra ticket and I'll pay for my niece to go back through it and he told me not to worry about it that he would let us through so we got to go to the beginning of the line and got to go with 6 other people and when we got inside the lady that was reading the rules to us she told me and my niece that she remembered us and I told her what happened and she let me and my niece go last so we got to enjoy it even more the 2nd time around I was very excited and happy. First time there and was disappointed. It took longer in the line to get in than to go through the haunted scenes. The actual scare scenes/walk through was not scary but definitely suspenseful. It was fun but wish it would have been longer or scarier. They had rules of no taking photos/videos inside or you'd get kicked out. I thought it was weird i couldn't find media on social media but now I know and none of the scarers touch you or get close. Also, the location is weird. Its in a plaza with restaurants and shops but no signage showing where yo drive. *edited, I've edited my review for 1 star. The owners response was unprofessional.
