Viewtopia — Attraction in Gatlinburg

Communication with the people that run the rentals is absolutely terrible. We did not get confirmation until 30 mins before we arrived to Cabin. I had to call and express how frustrated I was, and then lady finally told me the address and room pin. When we arrived rhe sign that has the cabins name on it was broke, half of the sign was laying on the ground making it hard to find. I called before we went in to cabin and let them know their sign was broke, the guy in the phone said he was going to send someone. We then went into Cabin. Hottub was basically empty..... my husband called and complained. They said someone would be there between 2-4 hours. He said "that was unacceptable " 2-4 hours is a lonnnng time. He thankfully had a 5 gallon bucket and filled the hottub up by himself.... which took a long time. Then the upstairs bedroom bed, is in shambles. It's very broken down. And they have a thin board trying to make it comfortable....... upstairs, the pull out bed was completely broke. Springs were missing and the Mattress was hanging down to the ground..... 2 people were supposed to sleep on this and had to sleep in the floor!!!!! Due to this bed being broke. Toilet seat upstairs looks NASTY its peeling and had a yellow foam on it.... They did not have enough towels or blankets for the guest either..... We called and asked for towels and blankets around 5 pm. After everyone was in bed, kids asleep a worker delivers blankets and towels at 11pm!!!! Knocking on the door waking up the kids! This cabin is run down! Also, the blankets they gave us were soiled. They had makeup and brown stuff on them. The cabin had a washer and dryer so we washed them and the nasty stuff on the blankets came off. (They gave us soiled blankets) The lights in the kitchen didn't work multiple light bulbs need to be replaced, had to call and get a hair dryer delivered. Took 6 hours. Day of checkout which is 10 am. The cleaners arrived at 9am sharp. And, stayed parked out the front door, and kept starring at us. As we were trying to get things packed and cleaned up! They were rushing us to get out of the cabin. This is the 2nd year we have used this cabin company. Last year was BAD, this year was bad... and they do nothing to accommodate the guests who pay good money to stay in there cabins. It was so stressful the whole time, please, please if you read my review do not book with this cabin company...... save your money for a company that truly cares about a guests experience and save your hard earned money! Oh, the hottub is super small could barely fit 2 people. And, after using a ph testing strip ( we have a hottub at home) that i brought from home. The chemical ratio was terrible!!! All the maintenance worker did was throw in some small chlorine tablets after he came to fill up the hottub that my husband used the 5 gallon bucket to do.... he didn't check water or balance it!!!!! Just Gross!!!!!! Save your Money!!!!!! After all our issues we highly recommend you not staying here. This place gives no care to...

Viewtopia is in serious need of updating, maintenance, and thorough cleaning. This cabin if far from luxury! It feels cheap,tired, and is definitely not worth what we paid! A few of the issues include the handle on the refrigerator is missing, a door knob is missing on the washing machine closet. The golden tee arcade game does not work. There is a board sticking up on the upstairs porch that I stubbed my toe on. All the furniture is very worn. The upstairs bedroom tv picture is messed up. The mattresses were very firm. There was trash and beer cans all around the sides of the cabin which could be seen from the porches. These are all things I could get over but the worst thing was the MOLD IN THE UPSTAIRS BATHTUB!! I would not let my kids take a bath in this tub. After seeing how poorly everything else was maintained we were all afraid to get in the hot tub since we didn’t feel confident that it was clean. I’ve stayed at several different cabins with different companies in the area and for this price Viewtopia at Gatlinburg Falls was very disappointing. Maybe some of the cabins that were rebuilt after the fire are nicer but this one falls very short of expectations for a cabin at this price.

A couple positives. We did not have any wash cloths in the cabin but maintenance was very quick to bring us some. The only thing this cabin has going for it is the location and view. The resort and grounds itself seemed very nice. Would not recommend this cabin or stay...

MUCH BETTER AND NICER CABINS FOR THE PRICE!!!!! Cabin name was Lovin It, we did not love it. Cabin was cleaned just enough to look clean upon walking in. White dog hair everywhere, our suitcases were covered. No toiletries provided, nor was laundrysoap or coffee which even basic hotels provide. Absolutely no view or privacy. Shared parking with cabin next door, fits 3 cars total, we had jerks next to us who parked their motorcycle and trailer across all 3 spaces, called about it and after 20 minutes on hold nothing was ever done about it. Got cabin for the games and location, it's very close to downtown, and that's basically what they charge for, location. The games were okay, pool table pockets are falling off, weaved plastic bags hold them up, fast and furious game has steering wheel that is extremely loose which would ge fine if there wasn't an ungodly squeaking everytime everyone you turned it. Hot tub upstairs was huge but couldn't use it when people were upstairs because the shutterstyle window behind it were broken or missing. Very diappointing for 400 a night, look around there are many better cabins out there. The location is the only good thing about this place. Pictures made it seem bigger and nicer than it is. Won't go back. This was just one in The resort, so not speaking for all of them...
