REGARDING: 2037 McCarter Dr Cabin listed as “Dollys Favorite View” DANGEROUS COMPANY!!! 11 GUESTS & 3 CHILDREN AND NO SMOKE DETECTORS ANYWHERE!!!! God forbid something happened and there was a fire, they could’ve had 11 bodies to answer for!! WE ONLY HAD ONE BATHROOM WITH WORKING WATER PRESSURE FOR 11 PEOPLE. THE “LUXURY BATHTUB” BARELY HAD TRICKLING WATER WHEN TURNED ALL THE WAY UP. MY SISTER ALMOST BROKE HER NECK WHEN THE ROCKING CHAIR SHE SAT ON FELL APART!!! RUN!!!! Below is an email my uncle sent them after spending almost $4000 for a run down and dilapidated cabin. We reached out to this company several times while we were still in the cabin and they ignored our phone numbers on caller ID. We left multiple messages and multiple emails. They operate like a gypsy scam vacation company. Save your family the trouble because they still have made no attempt to make this right. Our family comes to Pigeon Forge annually so they lost out on thousands by ignoring us and handling business this way. This was our first trip after the unexpected death of my father And our family is livid that we had to spend as much money as we did for such a poor experience. Please read my uncle’s email below before even considering going to their website. It’s been almost 3 months and they still haven’t responded. They are sharks and snakes, and if they continue to treat people who choose to spend their money with them like they are dispensable then it’s only a matter of time before their business goes under. An excerpt from my uncles email (he paid for the trip) bc Google reviews won’t let me post the whole thing: “The reason for the stay was a family reunion where 11 family members from four states flew into Tennessee to have four days together in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg after the death of my brother one year ago. I made the reservation several months in advance because I was excited by your web listing for a “luxury cabin” rental in the heart of the Smokey Mountains. I have never been so frustrated or disappointed with a vacation rental as I was with your sub-standard, derelict property. Upon entering the house, it was clear that the property had been grossly misrepresented in your listing. This was clearly NOT a luxury cabin rental. In fact, there were numerous pieces of broken furniture, a shower/tub that did not work at all, missing bedding, closets without clothes hangers, no laundry soap, no coffee, no trash bags, bedrooms with no window coverings, dangerously loose floorboards, broken recliners in the screening room (in fact, all of the chairs in the screening room were for children and not intended to be used by adults) and several rooms that had not been cleaned properly and had dead bugs on the floor. To be down one bathroom in a house with 11 people was a serious inconvenience for which no one ever apologized or explained. We reported the bathroom again on two other occasions and were told that it would be taken care of, but it never was. We also requested more bedding (and towels, since there was no laundry soap to wash towels) but towels and bedding never arrived. We sent photos to the text number that was provided to document the broken furniture with dangerous nails sticking out, missing window coverings in the bedrooms, dead bugs on the floors, a broken sliding door to the balcony, and a window in the living room that was so grimey that you couldn’t see through it and never received a response to the photos. This cabin was neglected, and proper maintenance has been deferred. For this you charged and collected almost four thousand dollars for a four day stay. Your system for reporting issues was inefficient and annoying. Much of my vacation time was spent waiting on hold to report a problem or trying to follow up on what was reported. I am thoroughly unsatisfied and angry with your company for ruining my family vacation with these issues.

My boyfriend & I drove approximately 9 hours to vacation in Tennessee. This company was a referral from a family member who had a good experience staying in their cabins prior to this trip. We rented a newly offered camper that was behind an existing rental property in Sevierville & had the same property owners. The worst part of this trip was our check-in experience. This company’s check-in relies on having internet service in order to get IN to the property. My boyfriend & I have two different cell phone providers and neither of us had service in this area. I was given wifi info to my email… that I could not access. This was TERRIFYING as we arrived at night and did not have GPS. We stood outside the property until the neighboring rental residers came home (1 hr later) and politely asked if we could use their internet given the circumstances. After using their internet, we found that we were actually given incorrect internet info for our own rental. We eventually logged in but the wifi did not work at all during our 4-day stay. I called this company on the first night and they told me someone would be out the next day to fix the internet, no one came. However, what I didn’t like the most was the tone the person working the office with me took when I told them about the wifi. I understand that this may seem a non-essential amenity to some, but we were too far from home to be stuck in the dark in the mountains without it. Upon entering the rental, there were other things that didn’t match the listing expectations. There were more broken light switches than there were working ones, the hardwood floor was completely torn out, and the bathroom was extremely dirty. I was relieved I had packed disinfectant in my bag because there was hair all over the floor and shower, and I’ll just attach a picture of the toilet here… Also, the bathroom door did not shut!!!! They tore the floor up so much that the barn door in the bathroom would not close and you can see in one of the pictures where the previous residents scuffed the floor trying to close this thing! We literally had to use the bathroom with the door wide open. In addition, all of our towels were covered in red/pink stains? We were given one fan in the bedroom and it didn’t turn on. They displayed pictures of the 2 Smart TVs in their listing. The living room TV wouldn’t connect to the internet, and the bedroom TV wouldn’t even load the home screen. My issue with this company was that I reached out multiple times via phone for them to try to make this right and I was ignored. I would’ve taken any response compared to none. This property promised the existence of amenities and most of which were not functional.

This property has the potential to be AMAZING! But...it's falling into disrepair and the property management company (or owner?) don't seem to be too concerned. We experienced very lackluster response from Venture properties in dealing with issues we brought to their attention during our stay.||The "big picture" issues that didn't meet our expectations are Cleanliness, no WIFI, Maintenance Items (that weren't huge detriments to our enjoyment of the property, but will very quickly wreck this house), and a lack of responsiveness of Venture.||We rented the property for a family reunion. We arrived on Wednesday evening. The interior floors were sticky. The exterior decking areas were covered in piles of sawdust and cigarette butts. There was splattered food all over a header between the dining and living areas. The front door was filthy. The grills all were full of used charcoal and the buckets for dumping the ashes into were full. Not a great first impression.||We also immediately realized wifi wasn't working. We rebooted the router, but it remained out for the rest of the weekend. We notified Venture immediately. They said they would report it to the provider, but had no way of knowing if or when the provider would respond. Apparently, the provider never did. So people that needed to work part-day Thursday and Friday had to go elsewhere to work. And we were unable to share our Family Memorial Video as we had planned.||We also noticed broken furniture pieces - one recliner upstairs had large screws sticking out all over it. Two chairs in the entry have broken seats, so they appear ok but when you sit in them you sink down to the floor. ||Bedding is minimal and wasn't available at all for the sofa sleepers. One bed had a torn fitted sheet. Many beds were missing pillows and the majority of the pillows had very little life left in them. And the mattress on the upper level mattress was stained. Venture did send us a replacement sheet set, but none of the pillows we requested.||One shower has a huge crack in the floor that opens to a gaping hole when you're standing in the shower. Water damage is definitely going to be an issue in here. Two bathroom sinks and one shower drain were clogged. There's water leaking from one of the upper bathrooms through the outside eaves of the house. While these issues didn't have huge negative impact on our stay (although we had to unclog the sink drains ourselves because no one came to do it), these issues will definitely have long term impact on the property. And there's no way housekeeping could have cleaned the bathrooms without noticing the slow drains. If they reported the issues, they were not addressed. And they were not addressed after we reported them.||Please note that the bunk rooms on the upper level get very warm. They don't have ceiling fans and if the doors to the rooms are closed, they are HOT. We ended up going to Walmart and purchasing box fans for them. When one person decided to move out to the common area on that level to sleep on the sofa bed, they opened the bed to find a very grossly stained mattress (see attached photos) and no bedding for it. We reported that to the property management company as well.||The outdoor bathroom by the hot tubs was out of order. Not a big deal, there are plenty of bathrooms inside, but just another example of subpar care given to this place.||We saw a few cockroaches in the kitchen during our stay. Also, the handle on one of the freezers is broken. The screw pulls out when you try to open the freezer. So you have to put your hands on the (very grimy) side of it and pull. The kitchen is relatively well stocked, but there were zero teaspoons. We requested them (as well as additional pillows) and never received them.||We called and also visited the Venture Properties office in person to share our concerns. They seemed to be unmoved by any of it. They would type it into their computer and say "we've put the request in". The one guy that did come out initially stuck the freezer handle back on by putting the screw in the hole (it immediately came back out when you pulled on the handle) and told us that we could just dump the ash containers over the side of the hill ourselves, unless we wanted him to do it.||The layout of the property was absolutely perfect for our gathering. But we wouldn't feel right recommending it without sharing the above issues. It's...

There is nothing luxury about this cabin! DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY!! Our family rented a different cabin, and the|property was sold so they moved us to The Palace at Bear Creek. The cabin layout is|nice, but it is not kept up at all! When we first arrived, I called the office to advise that|the hot tub stinks, is leaking, and is unusable. The other hot tub had the lid ripped in|half, and there was poop on the porch. I was advised the poop and lid ripped in half was|probably from a bear and she would put in a work order for the hot tub. I do not know|the time frame between the last people who rented the cabin until the time we arrived,|but it should have been cleaned before we got there. There are cobwebs all over the|outside and bees around one of the hot tubs. The other hot tub has rotten wood|underneath it and does not seem safe to get into it. I called the office to report it no one|showed up to fix anything. Later that night there was water leaking from the kitchen|ceiling and an emergency call was placed to have someone from maintenance come|out and look at it. Again, no one came out. We had an elderly woman on a walker who|could have slipped and fallen. As instructed, we walked around documenting everything|that was broken in the house in order not to be charged for it and there were numerous|things wrong in addition to the above mentioned:|Strong smell of sewer, Projector in theater room, light on top of beam in middle of living|room, broken planter in kitchen, table drawer by sofa, bathroom tub and cabinet in|bedroom off kitchen, outside stairwell going from the third floor to second floor is loose,|2 A/C vents were not connected in ground level basement making the house hot,|bathroom door on lower level bedroom to right will not stay closed, there is a popped|balloon wrapped around the ceiling fan in living room, double door (not main entrance)|seems like it was kicked in, all the kitchen cabinets have something wrong with them,|there are stains on the mattresses (looks like old menstrual stains) and our bed did not|have a fitted sheet on it so I had to sleep on top of the covers so as not to sleep on the|stain. Gross! The bedspread smelled cheesy. There was one washing machine that had|note on it that it is broken and not to use it. One washing machine for 40 people is an|inconvenience. One of the freezers is missing a drawer, the weather stripping was|coming off one of the double doors to main entrance. On top of that, there is $250|cleaning fee and there were crumbs on the counter, dishes were dirty, and the floor was|not mopped (kid’s feet were black). There is trash scattered all under the porch. I do not|believe the cleaning crew was ever at the house to clean it!|I again called the office to report all the things broken with the house and to report the|continued leak that still had not been addressed. I advised that if I had known the|condition of this house I would never have rented it. We were told that a service call|would be placed, and they would come out after 4 pm when they were finished with|check-in. Not sure what is involved with check-in because no one had any dealings with|me to check-in.||There were not enough bath or kitchen towels provided for the number of people the|house accommodates. The kitchen is inadequately stocked. A broom nor mop were|provided. The internet is spotty and keeps going in and out.|This is false advertisement because we rented it due to the amenities of the house and|are not able to use any of it. For the amount of money that was paid to rent this house|this is completely unacceptable. I do not believe this property should have been rented|and I asked for reimbursement . I received an email from the office stating they would|review my request and get back to me with a decision within 7-10 days. Guess what???|As of this day, I have not heard back from anyone! If I was the owner of this place, I|would be appalled by this management company. By the way is selling the cabin for|$3.2 million, I would not pay anywhere near that much as this place is in deplorable|condition!! It will need a lot of work. As for Venture Resorts, I have checked and noticed|that their reviews are not good, so I would recommend finding a more reputable|company as this company does not maintain the property very well and they have...

Our initial cabin had water coming out of the ceiling. We called, (Amanda was who answered, she was apologetic & pleasant)they would need to send maintenance, it would be 2-4 hrs. We ran to town to grab some items & were back within 2 hrs. When we returned, it had gotten worse, water coming out was almost across the entire kitchen, bathroom off the kitchen, coming out of the light fixture in the kitchen & was flooding downstairs onto the bed(this is a one bed cabin). Called back because at this point with it coming through a light fixture & the bed is soaked, we cannot stay there. I call the number & after 30 minutes on hold & getting to being the first caller in line, it says no one is available to take my call. I try again & after almost another half hour, Haley answers this call & is not as pleasant or as concerned with our situation. She insisted they would not do anything until maintenance sent in their report. Keep in mind, we wanted to go swim or at least get in a hot tub but, given the situation, couldn’t. I told Haley that maintenance had another 50 minutes on their 2-4 hr window & she informed me that the technician was 45 minutes to an hour and a half away. I told her that was really not acceptable with water coming from a light fixture & it being a bit dangerous. Then there was a knock on the door & a gentleman saying he was maintenance, I was confused with what Haley just told me. I really felt like she was being dishonest with me but she said they would text us once they got the report. He confirmed the air conditioner pan had overflowed & it had been like that for quite sometime. The filter was caked with dust & dirt. After about 20 minutes I asked him about what would happen (we were considering going swimming at least if he would be a while), he said to give him 30 minutes. I was like oh, but the bed won’t be dried up in 30 minutes, he said, no it won’t, that leak will continue for a while longer downstairs & the bed would continue to be wet. Almost 30 minutes later he came back upstairs & said he had submitted his report to them that I should be able to call and they would tell me what would happen next. I waited about 15 minutes & decided I wouldn’t wait on a text, I would just call them again. It was getting to be after 7pm & we were getting tired. So I call & after about 20 minutes, Sue comes on the line. I tell her the cabin we are in and that the maintenance technician had sent his report in & we needed to know what was happening next. She says, don’t see his report. I told her, I’m sorry but get a supervisor. At this point, my first afternoon that should have been spent relaxing in the pool or hot tub has been ruined. I just want to get to where we need to be moved and get settled. She tells me to hold that the supervisor is on another call. Now, the supervisor was on this other call for sometime & never got on the phone with me. After a bit, she had Sue tell me they got the report & had sent it to dispatch for approval & they would contact us with the information when they had it. Ok, fine. I was exhausted & tired of being on the phone at that point. When another hour passed & no word, I tried calling back, only to hear the recording say the office closed at 8pm. Spoke to answering service & told them we needed to know what to do,it was getting late & we just wanted to go to bed. She said would escalate the call so someone would reach out. We waited over another hour & finally got a text at 9:30 with the address to our new cabin. Here are some issues: The smoke detector was hanging down, their were some crumbs/dead bugs on the floor & fireplace, empty candy wrappers were left on the table by the bed, we had NO towels, it was 83 degrees upstairs even with the thermostat set to 70, a knob was missing on the jet tub, the fridge was not cleaned, the floor was so dirty that our feet were black after we walked barefoot in the cabin. In daylight we found the hot tub would not turn on & the frame around it was rotting & had pieces falling off, cushions on furniture on upstairs patio...
