Music Haven — Attraction in Geistown

Pretty sure it's the oldest music store (2nd loc.)in Jtiwn, family owned since the 50's. One of those places where you may have to dig a bit to get to the vintage goodies, or not because they also stay somewhat current and carry Fender amps, ax's,PA sys. accessories also has a nice stock of replacement parts, pedals, etc. The owner Ray 2nd gen. has been around his whole life and knowledgeable about everything to help any situation you may need help with. They've wl always had decent techs for repairs and from my memory have delivered a quality working end result. Said it B4 theres just nice stuff, nee & old all around,& you can pick up and plug in without feeling awkward.Nice folks. Great music store, not sure if they still have available teachers for lessons...

I took my Dads 60 year old Harmony guitar in to be repaired. The neck was pulling away from the body. It had sat in my closet for 15 years that way. For $50.00 they not only fixed it but cleaned it all up and replaced the strings and had it done in a week! I was so happy! Ray was great and helped me decide on a Fender acoustic guitar for my daughter for Christmas. Such a nice sound on an entry level guitar! I went back and bought a Tenor Ukulele for my oldest daughter who already plays guitar. He tunes everything up and checks the box to make sure everything is there before you take it and was so patient with all my been questions! She has already picked it up and is playing songs on it. It’s no guitar center, but you won’t regret going. I have bought a bunch of stuff there and the gentleman who works there (there might be more but I’ve only ever met the one guy) is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There is a limited selection of instruments and equipment but what they do have is mostly all good stuff. The great customer service and convenience of being nearby my school is what keeps me going back. Good gear for starters and they have some high-end stuff as well. Everything is reasonably priced and most of the time, he will give me some sort of a deal. (Depends on what you buy probably). I really hope guitar center and amazon don’t run little shops like this...
