I went here on a Sunday morning in July and had a wonderful time exploring the garden. The plantings are generally unkempt and the plant tags in some areas appear to be outdated. The ground is quite wet so make sure to wear hiking shoes. Native plant lovers, however, will find many wonderful species in bloom, and the diversity of bird and insect life is simply amazing. You'll spend just as much time looking at the animals as at the plants. The only regret I had was that the fern garden - one of the best collections of ferns in the country I believe - was too mosquito-ey and I wasn't properly dressed to spend time exploring the wooded area. There also appears to be a large trillium collection, which had already gone dormant, so I will definitely try to come back in the springtime to see Georgia's trilliums in bloom.
