Admission process was such a horrible experience. I went up there and was told three different things by three different people. I missed the beginning of classes but they told me I could sign up for a mini-mester. Orientation is online and it cost $15 to complete. I choose to pay through electronic check, I put in the routing number and the account number. The website verified the number by putting a green check. A week went by and the still did not take the money out of my account. I was out of town so I called finally I was able to get somebody they told me to go to my campus, which is the Dunwoody one. I went up there the lady that does it wasnt there. I was completely annoyed and was given a number and was told to call her at 8 am. I did no one picked, I tried three times. I called back again at 12 and she finally picked up.She told me the account didnt exist so, I repeated my account number to her and routing number. Then she said that I missed a number in the account number that is why the check bounced. I told her that the website verified the numbers with green checks. She told me that the system cannot tell if the number are correct. I asked her could she waive the check bounce fee of $25 and I just pay the $15. She told me no because it was an error on my part and not the computer, even though the website did verify the numbers. I honestly felt like it was a scam my bank wasnt charging the fee the school was. Frustrated and tired of the run around I applied for a different college. I do not know how the main campus is because I applied for the campus...
Read moreI have been having so many problems with registering and financial aid. I sent in my fafsa in march and got accepted Monday before school started however i still was not able to attend class because NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT WHY I HAVEN'T BEEN AWARDED AS OF YET... If u call the financial aid office you only get three management center NOT SOMEONE ON THE CAMPUS. It baffles me how i have met all qualifications yet have no award. Also i have already been accepted allowed to register even tho i can't pay for classes with out financial aid, only to be told after the fact that my residency is in question. I have a copy of my lease voters registration card even my tax return ...i was told the tax return had to notarized.. MIND YOU THIS WAS NOT APART OF MY CHECKLIST IN THE BEGINNING BUT HAS SINCE BEEN ADDED AFTER ICE ALREADY BEEN ACCEPTED.I HAVE EMAILED AND CALLED TO TRY AND RESOLVERESOLVE THIS FINANCIAL AID SITUATION BUT ALL THEY SAY IS THAT MANAGEMENT HAS THE APPLICATION AND IT'S WAITING ON THERE APPROVAL FOR A JUDGEMENT....BUT NO ONE CAN SPEAK TO THE MANAGERS AND THEY DON'T HAVE A DIRECT LINE...THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST DIFFICULT PROCESS I'VE EVER BEEN INVOLVED IN WHEN TRYING TO GET IN SCHOOL.. # NOT PLEASED. #WORKERS...
Read moreAs far as the campus goes it's small and easy to navigate. I've enjoyed almost all my professors and the level of education I was given.
However, there is a serious lack of communication going on in the school as a whole from financial aid all the way down to the book store.
Expect long delays and confusion with financial aid no matter when you apply. Expect emails not returned and phone calls with no answers given when you do reach an actual person.
Expect the bookstores, yes stores, all of them, including the online warehouse to mess up your order no matter how many times you double check and call. This is my 2nd year here and hopefully my last because I get some much stress and anxiety when new semesters roll around or new financial aid years come about because inevitably I KNOW something will and does usually go wrong.
In fact, as I type this things are currently going wrong 2 days in to the semester, imagine that!
A great school for the value but be prepared to bust your ass making sure people actually do the jobs in which they are paid for. NEVER assume things will work out, stay on top of it, all I...
