Escape Hour House — Attraction in Gilford

Arrived approx 30 min before the next time slot only to be turned away!! There are 3 available tickets the gent said that he can not mix groups! My Friend and I were not aloud in as another group of 5 had already booked. The web site clearly states 3 available tickets would not however be a private event as we would have the others who had booked. We understood that we would not be alone as would the other group who did not purchase all 8 slots. Per the web site we expected to be aloud in. They need to do better. The owner's response should then reflect once someone books a room with 5 individual's that there are no additional tickets left vs saying 3 tickets are left, we were more than happy to pay the additional fee. The advertisement should be no additional tickets remain as they have the ability to show room full. AGAIN I STATE YOU NEED TO DO BETTER. And I was a customer who was...

We were in Laconia for the weekend and were killing time waiting on friends. My wife really wanted to do an escape room, and the Hour House had availability in our time slot.

We were given the Area 51 room, which had a great (somewhat obvious) theme and spanned two actual rooms. There were a LOT of puzzles, many of which were ongoing simultaneously as we had a good idea of what we needed to progress...just not HOW to progress. Ultimately, we solved the room with a good 10 minutes to spare, and were told we had the fastest time in unlocking access to the second room (10 minutes) to date! Go us!

What fun! I was up from Georgia visiting my brother. I had done an escape room back home which was awful but though I'd give it another shot. This one was fabulous! Lots of different types of locks, clues hidden everywhere, and for Area 51 there were two rooms to escape from. Although we started finding clues and solving puzzles pretty quickly at first, there were only two of us, so it was no surprise when we ran out of time.
