Big Apple Store — Local services in Gilford

3Times recently I stopped at big Apple Dark haired women,Refused to take my $100.00 bill,I was trying to get gas and 3 pack's of cigarettes.Before I even asked her anything, She sharply said,"I can't make change for you! I was kinda shocked,walking out to car,puzzled,I turned went back in and waited in line,I told her so didn't need change.She enforced me she only had $53.00 in her registra,then proceeded to take $100.00 Bill from guy behind me???? She is the most rude person I have had the misfortune of dealing with.I will never go there again.The nice man behind me said this Big Apple was the worst in N.H.! While most of the time I love this store, this evening was the exception. I understand that the new hours state 4am to 12am. I work second shift. This evening on my way home I wanted to stop in and pick something up, so I stopped in at 11:45pm. The doors were both locked and the cashier was closing up for the night. Now, I've done this job before at a different company, so I understand how rough it is when you want to close up at midnight and someone walks in at 11:45pm or even 11:59pm. But that's your job. You're supposed to stay open and warn the incoming shoppers that you close...

I stopped in for the first time today after living up here for 6 months. My van had blown a tire & I was a little shaken up. The 2 ladies behind the counter were so kind, friendly & helpful. I was pleasantly surprised at how much there was inside to choose from as well. I'm sure I'll be back now...
