The Puppet Co. — Attraction in Glen Echo

The Puppet Company, located in Glen Echo Park, is a great opportunity for families, kids, and even adults to experience the puppet shows. There are party packages available, that include use of a party room for 4 hours, and 20 tickets to a puppet show. We held a holiday party here in 2018, and everyone was pleased with the puppet show and being able to relax in the party room afterwards. The party room includes a refrigerator/freezer, a sink, and closet. There is a large parking lot. If you have time, you may want to a a walk around the park, which has a amusement park feel like kiddieland with different interesting buildings. The Puppet Co. is a great venue for younger kids to enjoy a different type of performance than the standard movie. The performers and producers obviously put a lot of time and effort into thinking about what their audience will like. I've seen three shows there and they have all been impressive. They are strict about their rules in a very respectful way, which was appreciated during the last performance when two kids kept getting up and leaving, only to return a minute later, which was fairly distracting. After the thrid time, the theater manager intervened and informed them that they either had to be in or out. It's clear they care about their performances. We've been twice to see Jenny the Cat. We'll definitely be back for the next show, and hopefully will keep it a regular thing. I've been recommending the Puppet Co. in all the local groups to other parents since seeing this show. Our twins absolutely loved it. One insisted on being a cat for halloween, then wearing her costume to the second showing. The other wanted to be Wally(?) the Wolf and spent all morning howling like him. Their faces lit up so bright when the show started. They were completely enthralled. Highly recommend.
