What a hidden gem this place is. As soon as I walked in and saw the Japanese groceries, fresh fish, etc, I was reminded of another place I used to go to in Illinois that was very similar and had very good sushi. My expectations for this place were very high and I'm happy to say my expectations were met. I ordered a few simple rolls, they were made fresh in front of me, and they were all delicious. Good reasonably priced sushi. Pretty much the only place in the area to get sushi at an appropriate rate. It may not seem obvious from Google maps, but this is takeout, don't expect to sit there and dine. You get an opportunity to see the people make the sushi rolls in front of you. The shop itself is rather small, so you might want to make the order in advance or go to the nearby pharmacy while you wait...

Been going to Kanpai since they opened. Always fresh, reliable quality, friendly owner and staff.
