Two shaded playgrounds: one for older kids and one for younger kids. It’s a bit smelly— maybe water is being treated nearby in the large, fenced lake? Be careful at the open lake area which is a couple-minute walk from the playgrounds— it’s quite steep between the street and the lake, which is the only place to be near the water. Kids can easily fall in if playing with or feeding the ducks! Really nice selection of friendly birds, turtles and fish for the kids to feed and watch, though. We brought a little baggie of cat food to share which the animals loved. A bird enthusiast neighbor shared that tip with us long ago— cat food is apparently a much healthier treat for birds than bread, and closer to their natural diet.

For the people complaining about the cigarette butts and dog poop, what do you really expect..? It’s a public park and people aren’t the best, so you can’t expect it to be in PERFECT shape. One person that gave their rating of this park said something along the lines of “there are cigarette butts in the sand and it makes it disturbing when trying to enjoy time with my daughter.” People smoke everywhere, you’re gonna see cigarettes at almost every park you go to and I don’t think seeing a CIGARETTE should ruffle your feathers so much as to ruin your...
