Rainbow Donuts by Ava — Restaurant in Glendale

First time coming for donuts on Friday the 16th of May. As I walked in there were maybe 2/5ths of their case filled with donuts (around 11:00am). They must be very busy in the early morning. Some seating for those having a donut and beverage. Parking might pose a challenge when busy. I ordered a dozen and a half donuts to go; along with some donut holes. These donuts have been the best I’ve found and had in the West Valley — comparable to Arizona Donut Co. in Tempe. Loved the cake donuts too that are better than risen donuts. A nice assortment of coconut with vanilla icing; sprinkles; chocolate; blueberry; and buttermilk. The apple fritters were great as well; and the bear claw was the size of both my fists… it was HUGE! See the photos for what I had. The leftovers were good the following day. I couldn’t recommend this donut shop enough. If you’re in the area of Union Hills & 101, and you’re looking for a quick bite, you can’t go wrong with Rainbow Donuts by Ava. Get there...

I am not a sweets guy at all, however I had a sweet tooth at the moment and saw this place while grabbing lunch.

The woman at the counter, I apologize I don’t recall her name, was just an absolute treat. I don’t know which was sweeter her or the donuts. She made me want to just give her a hug. I told her it was my first time there and I wanted to get a couple to try out. Well she ended up selling me a half dozen and threw in a couple extra so I could try. I had two of my favorites and took the rest to work for others to try and they were blown away too.

Rainbow Donuts is an absolute gem! Their donuts are amazing—always fresh, with a great variety of classic favorites and fun, creative options (the chocolate iced with Fruity Pebbles is a must-try!). The breakfast sandwiches are made to order, and everything from the coffee to the donuts tastes fantastic every time.
