On Saturday, September 23rd, I and my family went to watch the movie “The Nun 2” and another, while watching the movie our radio died so we had no way of listening to the movie so I went to the snack bar and asked an employee named Nancy whether my family would be able to rent a radio to continue watching the movie with audio Nancy told me that they did not have radios for rent and that my family could get a refund within 30 minutes of the radio dying, this later turned out to be a miscommunication by Nancy as she meant if it was still within the first 30 minutes of the movie we would be able to get a refund. She unfortunately did not specify it as such and so I understood my family could still get a refund as long as we left within 30 minutes of speaking with her. I told my mother and we immediately went to the ticket booths as instructed by Nancy to ask for a refund and a Manager by the name of Sarah stopped us and asked us what we were here for we said a refund and she out right refused us the refund with an extremely rude demeanor and verbiage so we asked for a supervisor/manager, Sarah yelled “I am the manager of this drive in!!!” so we asked for another manager and again Sarah yelled “I am the only manager here there is no one else!!!” even though there were at least 2 other managers near us and 1 witnessing us asking for another manager and witness her rudeness and lies first hand. My mother asked for her name and the customer support number and she refused to give the number and left while my mother was speaking to her. We waited for her to come back for a solid 5 minutes but she did not come back. So we asked the other 2 employees for customer service number information and her name. Only one gave us some information and it was only her name Sarah. Then Sarah came back along with Nancy. Sarah came approaching my mother with the same rudeness and confrontational attitude and interrupted my mother on multiple occasions while she was speaking to Nancy in an normal tone trying to tell our side of the story. We were only handed an email and told there was no customer service number and the email was THE only way to contact the same managers we were talking to right there. Nevertheless my mother took it and said thank you and walked away calmly but while waking away Sarah said “She came at me talking like a bitch” to Nancy and proceeded to cuss out my mother a few more times while talking to Nancy and we know she knew what she was saying as she yelled it out for all to hear. Let me remind you this was in front of Nancy a manager, and two other male managers. On top of that it was in front of me, my sister, and my little brother. For a employee to cuss out my mother and for not at least one of the surrounding employees, managers doing anything to stop her from disrespecting my mother was extremely disappointing. My family has been going to the drive in since my mother was a child. None of this would have happened if Sarah was a professional customer service representative of this company, capable of controlling her emotions and aggressive attitude. My family was nothing but calm throughout this whole process not doing anything to merit this level of disrespect. This is the type of customer service you get when asking nicely as a life long paying customer?!?! Truly disappointing how these employees are tarnishing the West Wind drive in’s reputation. Read moreVisited on vacation in Phoenix. It’s fine if it’s your only choice, but as someone from the north east, you guys are missing out.
There’s a few immediate issues like no lights anywhere or signage at screens. Just had to hope I was at the right place. Screen was backed by a busy road with cars constantly ripping down being loud, businesses all around with bright lights and loud noises… could be fixed easily with a fence and some foliage.
There’s just too many screens too. Confusing to get to each one, some are pretty far from the concessions, and when there was a guy who didnt know how to turn his headlights off, I had no hope of getting an employee to let him know. All the other drive-ins Ive been to have lot attendants hanging around to help with anything like that. Doesn’t help that the projector was terrible, super dark and not sharp. Apparently they have other ones that are better? If they cant afford 9 of those I’d honestly just say close up the other ones. There was only like 4 other cars at my screen anyway.
Concessions was fine, price was cheaper than I expected but it felt a bit sad and dirty. Stuff like just wiping down the ketchup pump goes a long way. Building is really cool though, it has potential. Drive-ins have a really dedicated cult following around the US, it’s sad to see a place with a lot of potential and easy fixes (lights, cleaning, signage, fence, etc) in this condition. I left after about 30 minutes.

Read moreSometimes you get the urge to go to the drive ins then realize why you don't go to the drive ins anymore. Sounds quality is complete garbage. It is such an inconvenience and problem for customer to have to use an fm radio or cars fm radio which leads to other noise and light issues because people are having to start their engines. Also makes it hotter. Way to much light pollution. They really need to invest in netting or some sort of material to block out neighborhood flood lights. I mean if top golf can be approved to have mile high nets so can the drive ins. Picture quality, whatever the screens are made of is not suitable for viewing. You see vertical lines throughout the whole experience. Super distracting. Also the laser extreme is completely underwhelming. When to see s horror film and couldn't even see most of the movie. I highly do not recommend until west wind improves visual and sound quality, the only thing they should have mastered by now, its completely astonishing how they can lack so much. Its either complete idiocy from owners/management or complete greed from owners/management for the lack of quality....
