Beautiful area full of history and mystique. I was there on a foggy morning so it adding a lot of spooky coast ambience. There was an island of sea lions behind the ship that were entertaining to watch as well. Lots of dock traffic and I think there were some places to eat around there. I was distracted...

Sad to see the old girl in that shape . My dad was her captain for several years at American tugboat I remember riding on her to fuel her up for trips to Alaska.. I have quite a lot of pics of her and even more memories . To bad she couldn’t be saved ..

There was little left of the boat. On one hand I can find that amusing and it has a charm of seeing it deteriorate, on the other hand it’s not worth it to drive the extra miles to see it.
