Title: Sunset Family Pizza: Where Every Slice Is a Slice of Heaven
Review:
Sometimes the best dining experiences happen when you least expect them. That's exactly what occurred when I stumbled upon Sunset Family Pizza in Gold Beach, Oregon, a few years back. Let me just cut to the chase: this was easily one of the best pizzas I have ever had the pleasure of eating.
I was merely passing through the area and decided to order pizza to my room. What arrived was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. The freshness of the ingredients immediately stood out, from the perfectly melted cheese to the assortment of high-quality meats and produce. Each bite was an explosion of flavors that danced harmoniously together, leaving me wanting more even after I was full.
I was so impressed that I felt compelled to call the restaurant and speak to the manager or owner. While he seemed a bit surprised by my effusive praise, I could tell he took great pride in the quality of the pizzas they create. It's evident that they put thought, effort, and love into every pie that comes out of their kitchen.
It's been a few years since that memorable meal, but the craving for another slice from Sunset Family Pizza hasn't faded. I can't wait to get back to Gold Beach and relive that heavenly pizza experience. If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and make a beeline for Sunset Family Pizza. Trust me, your taste buds will thank...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is great. We have eaten there 3 times now and all 3 times the food was delicious. It's a very busy place even if it don't look that way, but what I found going in to order was alot of people were doing phone in orders and they do make the food in the order they were recieved, and since it's all made to order do not mistake this place for a fast food place. You will need to wait but it is well worth the wait. While waiting we enjoyed an ice cold adult beverage, after all i wasn't driving, so why not. What was a surprise to me was they do more than just pizza, they also have burgers, fries and the best onion rings, not to mention pizza, salad and even ice cream. They have more but they were all out of their to go menus and I cant remember what else they served. The employees were all very friendly and hard working. They were really moving to get the orders out to people fast as they could but not so fast as to take shortcuts with the food. I noticed they knew many of the patrons by name which gives you a good home feel about the place. The bathrooms were well stocked and clean but one of the stalls had a problem with the lock and would not stay shut so I just moved to a different stall. I do recommend this place for the pizza and onion rings, I have not had a chance to try any of the other food yet but as soon as I do I will update...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ordered Sunset pizza for takeout this evening..
My wife and I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and wings for dinner.
We ordered the full order of wings and went with buffalo sauce since they said they make the sauce in house. The wings arrived swimming in the sauce which was an immediate turnoff but nevertheless we persisted. There were approximately 9 wings in the order when they say you get 8 which was nice. The wings were cooked well but rather soggy since they were swimming. The wings were pretty meaty so thatās a bonus. The sauce was mediocre at best and lacking butter - Iād give these wings a solid 3/5.
The large pizza was perfectly cooked. The crust was a bit doughy for my taste but still good. The sauce was mild and flavorful but lacking. Not much pepperoni. I wish I could rate on a 10 scale, Iād give it a 7. Itās better than 3/5 but doesnāt deserve 4/5 either.
Price was a decent value given the location and cost of things these days 5/5
This place was an unassuming hole in the wall (my favorite kinda spot). Iād definitely come back but I wouldnāt come rushing if that makes sense. If youāre looking for a decent pizza at the end of the day, this place fills the gap.
Overall, Iād give a 7.5/10 but on a 5 scale...
