I called Tracy about replacing my iPhone 13 screen, and he quoted me at $120. I brought in my phone once the screen arrived 5 days later (that's fine, remote town, long shipping windows, whatever). When I entered he was with a customer so I tried to be polite and not get in the way, and he looked at me and said "This is the part where you say your name." I thought that was a little aggressive and odd, but old guy, small town, whatever. I left the phone with him. He called me about an hour later and informed me that I had told him I have the wrong phone -- I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max -- and the screen he ordered was for an iPhone 13 and wasn't going to fit. Owning a cell phone repair business, wouldn't one think the cell phone repair person's first response to "I have _ phone" would be "Great, what model?" or "iPhone 13, great, is it the regular iPhone 13, or iPhone 13 Pro? Pro Max?" Being the customer, I of course had no idea there was a difference in the two screens, but I would think a cell phone repair guy would know this. He then blamed me for the mishap, and ordered an iPhone 13 Pro Max screen. Odd to blame your customer, but again, old guy, small town, whatever. Five more days go by and I am the one who has to call to see if the new screen arrives, which it has. He puts it on improperly and there are lines all over my screen when he hands it to me... He then says it will now be $250. He never once mentioned a price increase in the two conversations we had over the phone after discovering the first screen was not the right one. I asked him what about the original $120 quote, and he said he "never said anything about $120, that even a regular iPhone 13 screen wouldn't only be $120." My girlfriend was in the car with me no our original phone call and heard him say over bluetooth/speakerphone that it was $120... And, again, he never mentioned a price increase. It became clear he wasn't going to budge, and he CONTINUED TO BOLD FACE LIE about price IN FRONT OF ANOTHER CUSTOMER, saying that iPhone 13 Pro Max screens are $180 and he charges a $60 installation fee... When I said, "OK, so why didn't you tell me that on the phone?" He lied again and said he did. When I asked why he didn't ask me about my phone model, he said that it was my fault I didn't tell him the proper model. When I offered to pay $120 I actually owe him, he refused to accept and so no you owe me $250. So, I took my phone and left. He then followed me outside and punched my car, damaging the driver's side rearview mirror. As I told him in person, I am happy to pay Tracy the $120 he originally quoted me at minus a discount for improperly installing the screen (see above: lines appearing on right side of screen) if he calls me and admits he in fact lied in front of a customer to save face, or whatever that was, and that he purposely didn't tell me about the more than double price increase because he's a crook. Being a small business owner myself, I instinctively know that you are always UP FRONT and CLEAR with customers about what their final price will be, and if pricing ever changes, you mention that explicitly. It seems the only way this guy stays in business is by ripping off old people...
Read moreTook my IPhone in for screen replacement that cost around 200.00, I had to take it back because it still wasn't working and was charged again for him not fixing it the first time! Got home and it still didn't work, screen kept shutting off. He replaced it with incompatible hardware and it has to be replaced again! Almost 400.00 later and not repaired. Complete waste of time and money. Obviously does not take pride in his work and it shows. I would never go back for any kind of repairs and would definitely not recommend his services! Do better especially in a small town who brings their business to you.
Well you sure took my money. And the screen you replaced wasn't compatible with the IPhone. Kept turning off even after you fix it the second time! You dealt with my teenage son, and maybe that's why you didn't care. Still will never do business at your establishment. Not only were you rude but were put out because you had to order another incompatible screen. So no, That's not taking pride...
Read moreI am so happy with my experience at TNT I wish I could give 10 stars! I bought a stereo from Tracy that rocked my world for four months. He set it up for me, and he answered several questions with patience and humor in the weeks it took me to figure it out. Then when I had to move, he bought it back for a very generous amount! I have also been impressed in past visits for phone repair by his comprehensive knowledge & capacity. He’s an old-school tech master with a willingness to do the work & explain it in detail. Great store with the best products and a...
