Craig's Cruisers Silver Lake — Attraction in Golden Township

Unsupervised rider caused my child to get hurt. A child rammed in to my son going full speed at the exit. Thanks to the staff member who checked on him to make sure he was o.k. He was a nice young man, and attentive (was not his fault it happened, as he was in the front and RAN over to check on him). Another young teen high-fived my kiddo and told him he was sorry it happened (when we got on the Zipline).

That said, there were multiple opportunities for the other staff members working the go-karts to stop it from happening. He absolutely never slowed down even when approaching the exit and should have been directed around. They could have waved and screamed. The older man just rolled his eyes and angrily said slow down AFTER he rammed in to my kid. My son was so upset by what happened, we almost left. Have you ever been hit from behind on a go-kart going full speed?

After it happened, the child should have been banned from riding again that day (he was not) and his family should have been asked to leave because his guardians were full-on DRUNK. The women (his mom I assume) LAUGHED while she checked on her son and NEVER checked on my kid or made her son apologize. Minutes prior to the ride, I saw her and her companion drinking Coors Light! That right there was grounds for removal.

Not one employee was wearing a mask. Don't tell me it's because it's "outside". If you are strapping someone in a seat, you are IN MY FACE.

Fun time at Craig’s Cruisers!! They have a variety of small rides for kids and adults. Most of them have a minimum of 48”, but some allow shorter riders as long as they are with an adult. Just be sure to check the height requirements before purchasing tickets. We went on Saturday and Sunday evenings, and there was no wait time for anything. The arcade was fun, but lots of games were out of order. The staff were nice and helpful, making sure we got a refund on any games that malfunctioned. The tickets are pricey, but the we thoroughly enjoyed all the rides. The zip line was super fun, especially riding it at night right as the sun was going down. The go carts were a hit for both the kids and the adults in our group. The Pearly Whirly and Hammered were also a lot of fun! We didn’t get a chance to do mini golf, since the last entry is 9pm....

Love Craig's Cruisers! I have been going up every August with the family since I could remember, (despite last August because of Corona). My mom's side of the family, my dad, and I ride the go-karts every year all together, super fun to race around each-other, (even the younger people get in the fun by being able to ride with mom/dad). I absolutely love going on the Soaring Eagle ride with one of my cousins who also isn't scared of heights. I love the arcade as well, the games are really fun and there is a huge variety of both the prizes and games! Overall, amazing place.
