Lions Park — Attraction in Golden Valley

GVGS Tournaments (& games) are always GREAT. Been attending Lions well over 10yrs & never disappointed. Until last yr updated playground appeared good. Quite often trash left & dont believe maintenance looks it over. Also parents keep an eye on youngsters. The Spinning eggshaped ride is dangerous for those wanderers, unsteady walkers. I've seen multiple kids walked into it, usually as older kid jumps over them, gets inside & started spinning. Head injuries, bruises, goose eggs & even blood appear. Got carried away on my walk with the dogs and ended up having a miserable case of shin splints. Saw the bleachers here and sat down. Things went fine - shin splints aside - until I got up and stepped in glass. Then, to make matters worse, some jerk parked behind the bleachers and shined his brights on me until I left. The park does have nice trees that are really attractive to dogs, as mine sniffed every single one. Surrounded by McMansions, which is sort of gross. Awesome place to take your family to take out energy out of the dogs running and playing with the kids. Some great Courts for the kids as well and lots of room for picnics. It needs more picnic tables and shelters it does have an outside bathroom. We just got caught in the major storm this past week in there and there were no shelters except for scattering to your vehicles with everything flying. So shelters would be a good idea other than that this place is a beautiful and awesome area to take your family...
