Intimate Bridal — Attraction in Grand Haven

I cannot rave enough about this bridal salon. My mom scheduled several bridal appointments for the long weekend I was visiting and no other in the area held a candle to my experience with Kristin, the owner/bridal attendant. Kristin is someone who is SO passionate about what she does and it truly reflects in her work. She is kind and personable - the kind of person you feel like you’ve known for a lifetime in just a few minutes. Not only does she have the most gorgeous stock of dresses, but really pays attention to your personal style and ideas of what you’re looking for. The first dress Kristin pulled for me to try on after just looking at me was the one I chose in the end. How’s that for talent?? I was able to customize several components of my wedding dress (basically combining two dresses in her shop) for the same price nearby locations were listing their off the rack dresses for!

There was no comparison for the service, stock, and memories made at Intimate Bridal that saying “yes!!” to my dress was the easiest and most stress free experience. I just wish I lived in the area to recommend this shop to my other friends who are going through the wedding planning process! Some other components I absolutely loved at Intimate Bridal: custom dresses, if you don’t like something about a style, it’s so easy to change! She sketches the dress out to remember adjustments. I can’t wait to get mine back to frame - how special! snacks and champagne to celebrate! clean and stylish space for guests to relax and enjoy Kristin was so attentive, it felt special to be the only group in her shop. (she’s by appointment only and only has one party at a time) no pressure for something you don’t like - Kristin was helping me into a dress in a dressing room that wasn’t for me. When I said so, she immediately unzipped me and moved to the next. There was no pressure to go out in the dress and show my family “just in case”. She feels strongly about the bride’s opinion ultimately being the only one that matters, which is important! she has a really great stock of accessories to bling up your look! Jeweled belts, hair pieces, veils, ect! My nieces (ages 6, 8 and 9) got to play dress up with veils and bouquets at the end of the appointment! They felt so special and I loved that they were included like that.

This was by far the best experience I think ANYONE could’ve provided. (And I wasn’t even the bride!) Kristin is EXTREMELY knowledgeable of absolutely everything. She’s been in the business for 18 years! AND SHE DESIGNS HER OWN GOWNS. Not your thing? She can piece together any type of top or bottom of one gown to another and truly make your dreams a reality. She was honest, personable, and still remained unbelievably professional. Not to mention the gowns are also very budget friendly but still unbelievably gorgeous. You can tell they are made with the utmost attention to detail. My sister got her wedding dress from here and the entire family will be coming back to purchase wedding attire. I can only assume the whole bridal party will be as well. 🙂 She was very personable and listened to everything that the bride asked for. She gave so many helpful suggestions and really did make it a wonderful and enjoyable experience. I will send anyone I know looking for a wedding gown, bridal gown or any type of bridal party attire to her for suggestions. You can genuinely tell she LOVES what she does and enjoys making the bride feel heard and look beautiful. And as an added bonus she took the time to also spend a small portion of the appointment getting to know the people who came with the bride to help pick out the dress. (Appointments are also 3 hours so that no one feels rushed and there’s no pressure.) It made us all feel very welcome and...

She picks up on the bride-to-be's body language when trying on dresses, gives you all the say in what dresses you try on all while respectfully guiding you with her expertise (and she is VERY knowledgable in the field) in the right direction, she stands up for what the bride wants, and makes you feel incredibly beautiful from inside & out!
