Garfield Park Neighborhoods Association — Attraction in Grand Rapids

I contacted this neighborhood association with hopes of growing vegetables in the community garden. They were slow to call me back; but due to my gardening excitement I persisted. I was supposed to be connected with someone who has NEVER contacted me back; but I was hung up on today by one of the staff and told by another that she had a hard time reaching me, which is a lie. I called her back MINUTES later after her first call! I used the patience of Job with these people; but something is wrong because they have given me all types of hints that they don't want my business and they don't acknowledge me as a part of the neighborhood. It is pretty evident this behavior is something systematic because these HATERS don't know me; but have chosen to DISCRIMINATE against me to prevent me from moving forward with my plans. When I said , I will be speaking with the City Commission, the lady wanted me to speak with her Director. I said NO THANK YOU because I have had enough already. TREATING PEOPLE RIGHT UP FRONT IS BETTER THAN DAMAGE CONTROL LATER. I don't need your permission to participate in my neighborhood activities. This is a SERVICE which is offered to THE COMMUNITY. Get over those GENTRIFYING attitudes and join the REAL neighborhood...
