Tellers 1872 — Restaurant in Great Bend

The ambience and service were exceptional. 10/10! the staff were very prompt, fast and friendly! Cozy Atmosphere, fresh brewed Tea, overall an elegant dine in experience.

Now to explain the 2 star rating.. The food was not up to par with the rest of the dining experience. The appetizers were decent. The ribeye felt a little rushed. The product tasted a bit bland and did not have those appealing grill marks as the photo on Teller's website showed. For the steep pricing, they seem to have skimped out on the steak quality and the sides were severely low portioned. I did not get the opportunity to try out the other meals at Teller's. As constructively and positive as I can be, I can not rate this place much more than 2 stars as I believe they need to work on their steak game. The desserts were very good. I loved how the server brought the dessert cart out and let you visualize each item rather than giving you a menu. I really liked that.

Please review your ribeye and adjust accordingly. I was a little let down as I had high expectations going in....

First time to try, celebrating my birthday with another couple, but probably won't be back for some time. One prime-rib was ordered medium and one medium-rare for the men. Prime rib was cold and tough. Not close to a medium and medium-rare. The ladies Chicken Cordon Bleu was good. Service was great. When we left we explained to the owner about the prime-rib. He said they ran out of medium-rare. So why did he not come to the table to let us know that way something else could have been ordered. Didn't take anything off of the bill. Will not recommend...

We visited on Tuesday shortly after 1pm, the food was cold, servers were already picking food up and closing down, our table was not done eating and the servers were asking for our plates and if we were ready to pay. Also the first plate I picked up was dirty. We were never asked, how our meal was and the only time the sever came back was to ask for our plates! I was expecting so much more!
