Riverside Ballroom — Attraction in Green Bay

Do not host your wedding here! From start to finish, there was no communication. It was always my husband reaching out to them to get the ball rolling. They are advertising a free taco truck but It would have cost "US" extra. Two days before our wedding, we found out that they were hosting a party the day before our wedding and that we wouldn't be able to set up our wedding till the day of our wedding at 9am. Our ceremony started at 12. My husband and his groomsmen had to set up the venue and miss out on getting ready picutes with our photographer while at the church. Day of wedding they had no air conditioning on. It was hot and had told them hey can you turn up the ac in here its hot, waited and finally I went outside to get air, and it took me to ask the security guard if she can help with that and she did! It shouldn't have taken me to ask security to help with the venue being hot. The food according to the contract we signed was supposed to go to us being that we paid for it all, instead all of the leftovers going to the workers. Myself and everyone else attending, saw workers hauling food out and a bartender hauling a bag of buns out. This especially frustrated us being that we had FAMILY travel from Minnesota and TEXAS! The food should have been left to us to decide, being we paid for it! We were the only event going on, so theres no reason why we shouldnt have been at the very least asked. These new owners will try to change anything that was in contract even if its signed by both parties. Save yourself from the headache and don't throw anything here that you would like to keep as a good memory. THE NEW OWNERS SHOULD STAY IN THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS. THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS RUNNING A VENUE THAT IS MEANT TO BE A GOOD...

I attended a friend’s wedding and they had their venue here. There were many things that bothered me with this venue:

1. there is currently a pandemic happening, yet this venue with two ballrooms had BOTH ROOMS rented out for THE SAME NIGHT. There was absolutely no social distancing happening. because of the pandemic, my friends had to change their wedding date and this venue would not allow my friends to schedule the date for next year AND THUS, having I’m sure 200+ people in both rooms I’m sure if my friends hadn’t asked for all their guests to bring AND WEAR their face masks during the wedding at all times unless eating or drinking, I’m sure the venue wouldn’t have even cared about the health and safety of everyone. EVEN WHILE BEING LOCATED IN BROWN COUNTY, one of the hotspots for COVID-19.

2. the chairs and tables that we were sitting at were very unstable and not sturdy. The chair that I was sitting on felt like it would break in half every time I sat down. The tables were very unstable, one lean over to pass food and it’s like the table would topple over.

3. the food. Ahh yes the food. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY THAT WAS SPENT ON IT. I feel so bad for my friends because they paid $27 per plate on food that was too mushy, too sticky, unsalted and some food even cold. I poured salt, black pepper and butter on the corn and mashed potatoes and still tasted so very bland. I will however give them credit for the fried chicken, that was delicious but I did see another guests who had a breast piece of chicken and it was STILL PINK INSIDE there was a woman serving the food and she grabbed a piece of chicken WITH HER BARE HAND, WITH NO GLOVES.

I would definitely not recommend this place for a wedding or any other...

Very cool place. Saw a great band- lots of people dancing. Shared 3 dances with my special date. A girl I had my first crush on wayyyy long time ago. In 8th grade chicken to ask her dance with me. Lol. Miss her so much but understand why. February 13, 22 bittersweet an was the last time I saw her. Such a cool special place. A wonderful date at a great historic place in GB! Staff were awesome at the bar. Check out my pics : Packers - used to practice here. In March I went to a wedding held at this location which I don’t have pics. But just a great place and staff is so good. GB is so blessed with cool places like this! This is truly my forever home and trust me u will see soooo many pics and posts of GB and around iGB. So good to feel at home. Regret ever leaving and running away from my problems. So happy to enjoy life and do reviews on cool places- like this! GB is a happening place
