Green Bay's longest running gay bar caters to more than just the LGBTQ community these days. Though the clientele remains mostly middle aged and older gay men and lesbians, straight friends and allies also enjoy the reasonably priced cocktails, draft & bottled beers and a nice variety of house wines. Free popcorn is available from a self-serve wagon. The bar is tastefully decorated and lighting is neither too bright or to dark, which leads to an overall atmosphere that is friendly in a "Cheers" sort of way. The bar's many regulars often are sitting in the same spots not unlike Norm and Cliff. The garden-like patio that welcomes smokers and vapers is heated in winter. Music from the jukebox or satellite service is typically at a conversational level except on weekends when DJs play a mix of modern and classic dance music. The once monthly Retro Night focuses on classic disco and New Wave. Monthly drag shows and other benefit/special event shows also keep weekends busy. The bar also serves a wide variety of grilled and fried foods, as well as pizzas. Bargain burritos are a Tuesday feature and Friday's fish fry is one of the best bargains in the city. Read moreOpened in 1982, Napalese Lounge is the oldest, continually running LGBTQ+ bar in Wisconsin. Not only can you see a great drag show, play trivia or bingo, but you can also get some GREAT food here.
We have heard that they have been named one of the top 10 burger places in Wisconsin, so of course we had to check it out.
We ordered a 1/3 pound cheeseburger, 1/3 pound mushroom and Swiss along with beer battered fries.
These are good size burgers that are seasoned well and are super juicy. Plus you can’t go wrong with the prices. The cheeseburger was $5.75 and the mushroom and Swiss was $6.75.
The fries were a steak fry size, had a hint of sweetness and lightly seasoned.
We can see why they are one of the tops and highly recommend stopping here for a quick bite on your lunch break. On week days they open at 11a and weekends at 1p.
We will definitely be coming back to try their fish fry.

You can tell the place is not doing well as the owner is the only bartender and he is not sociable nor friendly at all. The one time he did talk to us he told us of how his car has semi autonomous driving ability and it practically drives itself home to Appleton where he lives when he is so plastered after working his shift at the bar. Not a good look buddy. Likely...
