My cousin rented the pool for a private party tonight . Showed up and no one was here “due to the weather”. Staff didn’t notify anyone. We started calling all the managers to tell them we rented the pool and no one’s here. 3 life guards showed up and the blonde headed life guard(assistant manager) was upset she had to do her job. Mind you this is a KIDS birthday party and she was yelling at the kids and told them to “stop splashing”(again we’re in a pool) and said “if yall keep yelling, I’m going to yank you out of the pool” she said this to KIDS. When her behavior was brought to the managers attention, he defended her actions and said “she wouldn’t be yelling at kids if they weren’t doing anything wrong because she’s the assistant manager”. They also wouldn’t open the locker rooms because “they didn’t want to stay late to clean them”. So 200 people were expected to share 1 bathroom/family restroom.

All in all, this place needs new managers or their current managers need to go through extensive training.

I understand they didn’t want to work due to the weather, but communication is key and my cousin paid GOOD money to rent a private party.

This is the 2nd year in a row she’s rented this pool and last year was a good time. This year, not at all.

10/10...

Riley is a nice park, but PLEASE don't feed the ducks & geese. There are signs everywhere stating no feeding. The birds are known to get too aggressive.

On the up side, from the tennis courts and skate park to the playground and the ball fields, the City of Greenfield has done a great job keeping it accessible for the disabled. Being a wheelchair user, I appreciated being able to drive my Quantum iLevel chair (very heavy chair) onto the compressed mulch playground without sinking and getting stuck while accompaning my grandson.

Brandywine Creek flows through the middle of the park and the fishing is good. There are several spots north of the playground where wheelchair users can access the creek to fish. The paved area goes to the water's edge with a reinforced retaining wall.

The public restrooms located at the playground were in good repair, as was the rest of the park. The park also seemed well policed. While there, I saw two officers drive through which was reassuring.

This is one of the few city parks I've seen with an active...

Lovely park with a big creek running through it. Lots of ducks, geese, and squirrels. Large for a city park and never overly crowded. There are basketball and tennis courts and a small fenced in skake/skateboard/bike area with ramps and rails. A 9 hole discus golf course is available as well, but remember to bring your own frisbee! There are 4 different playgrounds, a large shelter area, and a few clusters of picnic tables with hibachi grills. This park also has other single picnic tables scattered throughout...some right beside the creek. This creek was James Whitcomb Riley's "ol' swimming hole". It is a great place for a playdate with the kids, romantic picnic, family reunion or even a to practice yoga, tai chi, or...

Clean and fun park. My only complaint and I’m leaving this in hope that it can be changed. The pad at the bottom of the frog slide is too small! My 4yr old boy and another boy were playing nicely about 2 months ago, I’m behind I know. The boy shoved my son hard down the slide leaving him with several painful scrapes on his back and side. I just hope that no one else has their child crying so hard they have to leave. It may not look like much in photo but took nearly a month to heal and he complained about the pain for at least two weeks. Im also adding fun photos since they did have lots of fun as well there over the summer!

Lovely small-town park with a variety of amenities for the entire family. There are basketball and tennis courts as well as a couple of nice playground areas. Picnickers can choose from a several picnic tables under the trees or in shelters. The park also has a Frolf course. Near the park is a historic school turned jail and an old chapel. Neither were open when I visited.

Their policy for masks doesn't make sense. Why can't I wear a face mask as a grown adult? More people drown as a result of not having goggles than from accidentally inhaling water because they couldn't breath through their nose. If the water can get in your mouth, odds are, it can get in your nose too.
