You will not be disappointed booking ANY cruise on The Big Kate! Incredible old boat with an equally incrediblepast!, The narration is very informative and the scenery is off the chart!! Great food and beverages available on board as well as children's interactive activities while underway. P.S, You may be offered a hand a the wheel!.

Almost the last tour of the season! Went on a Friday and had plenty of room on the boat, the food was great!!! We were only a tad chilly because of the fall temps but there were blankets for us if needed. The lake tour was lovely and we really enjoyed seeing the engine room and steering the boat!

The Moisehead Marine Museum us a terrific collection of items from the lake area. The jewel is a trip on the Katahdin, an old steam boat which once worked the lake as a commercial vessel. The museum offers different trips on different days. All are seasonal. Check it out.

My husband, Dave and I were married aboard Kate on July 7, 2007. Everyone says their wedding day was one of the best days of their lives, and I totally agree. Everyone from the Captain to the wonderful woman who took the ropes off Kate we're so nice to us. We had a live band - Zevulon, playing and it was just awesome. We come up every year to celebrate our wedding anniversary the 1st week of July and we usually do one of the other Rock N Roll Cruises or Dinner Cruise too. We've never had a bad day. All the staff love what they do. I highly recommend this adventure - it's fun & you're supporting a piece...

I've lived in Maine all my life, my parents have a camp in Rockwood and have seen the Katahdin many times. It never occurred to me to take a cruise until today. My mother and I took a 3 hour trip. It was cold and windy, but the crew was warm and welcoming. The lunch was great, the narration was wonderful and the music was fun. Even though it got very choppy, especially in Spencer Bay, I was never afraid. I knew that we were in safe and capable hands. We enjoyed the ride. Whether you are visiting from out of state or local, you need to take a cruise...

My husband and I took the Sugar Island 3 hour cruise. It was fun and absolutely beautiful with the fall colors at peak. Their speaker was excellent and I could hear the narration anywhere on the boat. Their narrator enunciated his speech and it was a pleasure to hear him. The views were worth every minute on the boat. We also had lunch on the boat and it was good and satisfying. I recommend this experience to everyone. Take the cruise, you...
