Half Moon Bay Dog Park — Attraction in Half Moon Bay

Some people here are wonderful. Others not so much. To the extremely rude and entitled woman with the grey schnauzer there today, this is a Public dog park, not your personal demense or dog play date. She wanted her dog to only play with the one other day there and told my dog 'not you' and actually took my dog by the collar to keep her from being around the other two. Not much to do here but the doggies love it. The weather is always breezy and chilly and wet which was perfect for me and my boy. There's also a horseshoe pit next door (there's about maybe 20 pits in total) which was pretty awesome. However it seemed the locals that were playing didn't want me anywhere near the pits which was a little bit weird. Maybe they were having a tournament or something, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Still kind of shitty because I wanted to play...

Deliciously windy, perfect for a sunny day. we saw a seal surfing the waves! Great pet friendly alternative to Half Moon Bay beach where you need to pay for parking & dogs aren't allowed. Bonus: it's less crowded & if you're a little adventurous, you can hike down the edges to access a peaceful beach for a nice walk or just sitting and the ocean gazing, with occasional sightings of seals and other ocean creatures! Beautiful place to getaway from the city...
