Disabled American Veterans Thrift Store — Attraction in Hampton

Very disappointed in that this store has turned from one of the best in Hampton to one of the MOST EXPENSIVE!!

They have steadily gone up on their prices recently, and took the "Thrift" out of "Thrift Store"

Shirts that were 3.99 and 4.99 are now as high as 12.99 and furniture prices have just gone through the roof!!

I have seen broken lamps and items that should have been discarded actually up for sale!?.....It makes the store look bad and it is something they used to never do??

Some furniture actually had wood glue running down the sides or there were tables with partially broken legs??......These items should have been trashed, but, they were trying to sell them!

This particular store has a manager who drives a nice luxury MERCEDES!!!......Maybe, that is why the prices have gotten higher and higher!!.???............HMMM!!!

Today Sunday first day of January 2017 I have entered into the store at 11:10am with out notice the store hours that opens up at 12 mid day to encounter a color man pointing at me and yelling at me GO BACK OUT, GO BACK OUT i was whit my wife, i understand that the store should be close by the time but was open due to a gentleman bringing some donation stuff, i think that the employee should be more professional and tell me in a good way " I'm sorry sir we are close for now we are just receiving some donations but you can come back in about an hour and we gladly welcome you.. i work for the navy and is a shame that you people who have served our country have and uneducated people working for...

I visited this thrift store (DECEMBER 23,2024) while traveling from Florida and was extremely disappointed. The selection was mediocre at best, but I found a pair of Nike boots without a price tag. When I went to check out, they flat-out refused to sell them because they neglected to put a price on the item. I asked for a manager to sort it out, and they claimed there wasn’t a manager in the store. How does a business operate with no manager on duty? How does that make any sense?
