Bushes Landscape Design Inc. and Garden Center — Attraction in Hanover Township

I can’t say enough about the excellent work done by Bushes Landscaping Design. Peter, Ian, and their team were always professional, honest, knowledgeable, and took tremendous pride in their work. Our backyard was a complete mess due to heavy excavation (of the hopeless category). During our initial meeting, Peter and Ian offered great design suggestions for the layout, colors, and material. They both took their time answering hundreds of questions and even talked us out of more expensive options. At each step of the design, construction, and landscaping, they made choices based on what was best for us even if it took longer or required more material.

The project was complex due to the state it was left in from the excavations, different elevations in the yard, and limited access. To make the project even more challenging, the team had to work through extreme heat and heavy rain, and delays in supplies. As the client, not once did they relay any frustration or rework the initial quote.

The hardscaping work involved creating multiple levels, steps, walls, walkways, and a firepit. The design tied everything together and gave us a great flow between levels. The plantings they did went well beyond what we asked for. Additionally, they somehow revived a dead lawn completely full of rocks!

It’s not often you come across a company that goes well above high expectations, and makes you feel like you’ve known them for an eternity. Just some examples of things they took on that were completely out of their scope: additional plantings, fixing fences, pruning trees, lowering a sewer line cleanout, applying mulch to existing scrubs, putting a soaker hose for the new plant beds because our irrigation system lines were damaged from previous excavations, attaching string lights, closing a basement window, and even getting their own outdoor extension cord to attach the string lights (seriously!). All of these “small” things add up to a lot!

I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Every person that has seen the before and after of our yard has been wowed and thinks we got a great deal for the quality of work and how much they did. We even called them afterwards to replace a few plants in the front yard and to add some mulch.

We chose Bushes for a full redesign of our front landscaping. Ian and Peter came up with a unique plan, allowing for plants to flower throughout the season (some early spring, summer, falls, etc.) The results were a beautiful display of color to enjoy throughout most of the year. We couldn't believe how efficient the team was able to plant our new landscaping. Bushes also did some reshaping of beds, drainage and regrading in the backyard.
