EDITED TO ADD: It's now been over a week and the manager Meagan Gundry has yet to answer my email or voicemail. No explanation was given to me as to why or how this happened which just adds to how disorganized and sketchy this hotel is.
Shaken and absolutely appalled at this hotel right now. If you value your safety DO NOT COME HERE. It's 3AM and I woke up from my sleep to hear someone trying to open our door. Figured surely it had to be a mistake and went back to sleep. I was woken up again a short time later to hearing the door rattling again except this time it clicked open. I get up to look and I can see a little tool being used from the other side to try and push open our manual lock. No one tried using their voice to see if anyone was in the room first, no one knocked, just immediately tried quietly accessing the room (if i woke up to the door rattling, I could have easily woken up to a voice or a knock)..Turns out they gave someone else a room key to our room while we were asleep and when that didn't work (thank God we double locked it) the hotel manager then tried to come up and open it himself WITHOUT EVEN TRYING TO KNOCK OR SAY ANYTHING. As a younger female I am FLOORED and shaken that this is the way this hotel conducts business. The fact that you gave a STRANGER access to a room that was already occupied (at 3 in the morning!!!!) is not only a terrible reflection of how disorganized this hotel must be, but so dangerous and infuriating I'm having trouble forming respectful sentences right now. I called down to the same manager a few minutes later and we got confirmation that this is indeed our room and that should not have happened. I'm now wide awake 30 minutes later and still rattled from the experience. This was absolutely unacceptable, unsafe, and a huge HUGE red flag. Dropping a ball like this, and by a manager no less, is so extremely...

Read moreOur group was attending our daughter's wedding and occupied over 50 rooms for two nights. We had previously booked a block of rooms at another nearby hotel. When we learned in July that our previous hotel, which had closed during the pandemic, would not open in time for our event, we had to scramble to find suitable accommodations. The Sonesta Select came through with flying colors. The Sales Director, Giulia Racchi, did everything possible to ensure that our experience was everything we hoped for. She and Nini Sears, the Front Office Supervisor, re-booked the rooms for our guests and worked with us and the groom's parents to make sure everything was exactly as we planned. Giulia arranged transportation to and from the wedding venue and provided space for meals and an after-party. The rooms and common areas inside and out were spotlessly clean. The hotel was refurbished in 2018 and everything looked brand new. Some of the rooms also had sofa beds convertible to twin or full beds, which were convenient for families with children or other extra guests. During our stay, Giulia and the General Manager, Meagan, regularly checked with us to confirm that everything was meeting or exceeding our expectations. Nini and Maria also contributed to the success of our weekend, and the housekeeping staff were the friendliest I've met in many years of traveling. I wish we had time to use the gym, because it was far more extensive than 90%...
