Ukrainian American Cultural Center of New Jersey — Attraction in Hanover Township

To all the Gujarati brides - this is an excellent venue for a Garba!! Our family hosted a garba night here for a little less than 300 guests during our wedding weekend in June 2023. This venue was a hit! The stage is absolutely perfect for decoration (There is no staircase, meaning random guests will not be able to sit on your decor and take pictures during your event. However, there is a back entrance for the bride and groom to go up on stage to take pictures). They let us bring our own alcohol in and even provided staff to serve our drinks. They provided staff to fill up water pitchers on tables so we did not have to bring in our own water bottles. The venue is also big enough to do garba in the main hall when all the walls are pushed aside. Also, there is a commercial kitchen in the back where our caterer was able to come in and prep for our event. Finally, the staff at UACC cleaned up after our event ended.

....all of this for a one time hall rental fee, nominal labor charge, and kitchen rental fee. Incredibly reasonable, budget-friendly venue with a great staff!

Also, Andrij is very great to work with. He had not set up the hall for a Gujarati garba before, however he was open to learning about the event and followed the floor plan I sent him perfectly.

By far, Andrij, Natalie and the staff are the best. From the moment we started planning my mother's retirement party, the team at The Ukraine was nothing short of spectacular. Their attention to detail, responsiveness, and genuine care truly set them apart.

On the day of the party, the staff was attentive and professional, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that all our guests felt welcome and cared for.

The venue itself was beautifully arranged, and elegant. They allowed us to use their kitchen and refrigerators too which was great. They even allowed us to bring our food in the day before so we could store it.

Thanks to The Ukraine, my mother's retirement party was a memorable event that exceeded all our expectations. Their dedication and effort in providing an exceptional service were evident, and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome.
