I was recently here with friends on 10/8/2022 to celebrate a belated birthday by having a nice dinner here. 4/5 arrived half an hour earlier assuming dinnertime was going to become busy especially on a Saturday, and by the time we were seated around a few minutes before 4pm, the waitress of our served us with an unprofessional demeanor and was incredibly rude. As we ordered our drinks, my one friend was the only one served with a straw while the rest of us were, well, straw less which was odd. I had to make a call to ensure my other friend was arriving safely and next thing I know, the same lady and another waitress were talking and laughing while looking at me for a brief second in which a second red flag emerged. One of my friends had to leave early and the waitress didn't want to answer us while raising our hand for an early check. As time passes, the waitress aggressively took away the utensils, chopsticks, and little bowl saying ' She's not coming, huh?! ' and my friend and I looked at each other confused and disgusted. Honestly, what kind of service is this for a waitress to show her frustration to wait for a single person. As time passes, my friend finally arrives and the moment she sat herself down next to me, the same waitress ( by the way, she has a short bob and glasses who wore a beautiful blue silk top ) came to my friend and said, " Oh, you came very late! " almost loud enough for the next table to hear which is EXTREMELY uncalled for and outright inappropriate. Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious, but it would've tasted better if we weren't discriminated, embarrassed, and rushed for celebrating MY birthday. I refuse to apologize for the negative review my company and I experienced, but we will not be returning to this restaurant where our hard earned money went towards improper hospitality, unprofessional rude remarks, and...
Read moreMy search for authentic Japanese food in my area has officially come to an end—I’ve discovered a true gem! This restaurant has been around for years and offers a delightful mix of American-Japanese dishes and traditional fare.
The menu is impressively comprehensive, featuring everything from sashimi and grilled options to fried dishes, stews, and shabu shabu. I started with the raw wasabi toro and seabass, both of which were incredibly fresh and flavorful, with subtle nuances enhanced by a well-balanced sauce.
I was particularly excited to see some unique sashimi options rarely found in the U.S., including sweet shrimp, uni, and ika. Each was a treat! The baby octopus appetizer was another highlight—tender and tasty.
We also ordered steamed egg, which was decent but not particularly memorable. My friend had the beef teriyaki, which leaned a bit too sweet for my taste, but still enjoyable.
The service was excellent; our waitress was friendly and made the dining experience even better. I’ll definitely be returning for another round of these...
Read moreExcellent sushi-hibachi restaurant. It is busy! So if you need a table after 7pm, especially on a weekend - i suggest making a reservation.
Staff is very friendly and creates almost “visiting your grandma” atmosphere.
Big selection of various speciality rolls and sushi/sashimi, as well as other traditional dishes.
Stocked liquor bar with various sake as well.
They even have a play room/sit on a floor and eat room for kids.
While on expensive side - it is well justified.
We all had various dishes - i opted for sushi-sashimi dinner - it was huge and tasty.
My sons had udon - which was HUGE, seafood dinner, California rolls.
My wife opted for specialty rolls - nikko specialty roll, momichi (which she didnt like but i did so matter of taste) shrimp tempura rolls.
Overall - good evening and again - kind and gentle waitresses made it...
