This gym is not worth your time, nor money, it’s not managed or ran how it used to be. The facility is constantly dirty no matter the time. The locker rooms are especially a mess, being very hot, filthy, and always out of paper towels. The dispensers are always not working. There have been leaks on the roof all over that drip into the gym during rainy weather and these spots have never seen maintenance, only a Home Depot bucket to collect water. The pool and Saunas are okay at best. I doubt they are ever wiped down at the end of the day or in general. Also the only filtered water fountain that is available is the slowest I’ve seen in my life. The mirrors are constantly dirty because they don’t clean them often. Talking about cleanliness, the antibacterial wipes they use are low quality. They are super thin and are almost already dry when you pull them off the roll to use. A gym with such high monthly payments, their focus on grabbing more clients to sign up, hopefully they would provide more effort to maintain the facility right? Nope. The cleaning staff genuinely do try their best, but surface cleaning can only do so much when there is water dripping from the ceiling, unusable/damaged equipment, and certain amenities are in poor condition (like water fountains and paper towel dispensers).
I would never, ever pay money to go to this gym and buy a membership. I’ve been going to this gym over a year solely as a guest to some of my gracious friends. Over this time I’ve seen no improvement, the way the facility is treated is terrible and I’ll never buy a membership here.
The staff are alright, depends who you walk into. They may be customer friendly, but they don’t care about the environment they work in, they just try to entice you to sign up to this horrible gym. Don’t forget that if you ever have a guest pass, a manager will try to have you sign up. Most of the time all they do is waive the initiation fee. I truly feel bad for those that sign up and don’t take a look around the gym to see what they are getting themselves into. LA fitness used to have a great rep but here it’s bottom of the barrel for an LA fitness. I don’t feel the need to Namedrop the workers, especially the managers because they all know who they are. I am positive the new GM is from the last LA Fitness/Esporta location that closed in Parsippany last year. The place was also filthy and unkept. The facility reflects the "new" GM perfectly. The management and treatment of this facility is laughable.
If you want to go to the gym and lift Crunch fitness (Parsippany) and planet fitness are great alternatives with handfuls of amenities.

If you’re looking for a matched set of weights, good luck—you’ll have to search the entire gym to find them. On top of that, the men’s locker room is a disaster. Out of ten shower stalls, only two are ever open, leading to a line of people waiting just to rinse off. And when you finally get a turn? The water turns ice cold halfway through.
Save your money and go somewhere else. This place isn’t worth your time. ———
Where Disappointment Gets a Workout
Walk into this LA Fitness at 5 a.m., and you might think, This isn’t so bad.
The doors are open. The lights are on. The weights are plentiful. There’s even a hot tub.
But stay a little longer, and reality sets in.
The Locker Room Experience (Or Lack Thereof)
There’s a moment, after a workout, when you just want a shower. A little peace. A little privacy.
Not here.
Two women, always present, roam the men’s locker room—pressure washers in hand, blasting away at… something.
If you enjoy undressing in front of industrial cleaning crews, you’ll be fine. If not? Tough luck.
The Shower Lottery…
Six showers exist.
Three work.
But if you want a steady stream of water, here’s your best bet: second shower from the left.
The others? A mix of arctic mist, lukewarm drizzle, and existential despair.
Cleanliness is… Optional
The bathroom? Think gas station rest stop, but with more regret.
The floors? A slick, unsupervised science experiment.
The maintenance? A rumor.
The Weight Room: A Game of Hide and Seek
Want a 25-pound dumbbell? Good luck.
This gym treats weights like free-range cattle, roaming freely with no concern for their assigned racks.
It’s an obstacle course just to piece together a matching set.
Why do I go to this gym?
Because it’s six minutes from my house.
Open at 5 AM, and has a minor clean hot tub
That’s it. That’s the reason.
A better gym? Lifetime. But that’s a drive. And convenience wins.
For now.
Final Verdict
This LA Fitness has the bones of a great gym.
But it’s a neglected, unkempt, broken-down version of what it should be.

Read moreOne of the worst gyms. I joined seeing google reviews and great reputation of LA Fitness. But it runs like a scam company. I joined the personal training program for 3 months. In their system, the minimum contract term is 6 months. The fitness director at that time, Mileena, overwrote the 6 months in the contract with 3 months with her initials, thereafter I signed that contract. Now when I was close to 3 months timeline, I approached the gym to make sure that they don’t charge anything more for personal training. They gave me shock by saying that the contract term in the system is 6 months. By this time, the fitness director, Mileena had left the gym and there is a new boss now. Initially they were not willing to honor the contract. After a lot of back and forth for 2 weeks, they agreed to do a buy out in the system. I was satisfied at least they are honoring the contract. Now when they did the buy-out, it was in the middle of month and my billing is from 1st of every month. At the time of buyout, I had 16 sessions which were unused. The buyout cancellation email says that I have 30 days to use those 16 sessions. But 2nd surprise was waiting for me. Near the end of the month, I had around 11 sessions left and believing that I still have 15 days to use those sessions as the buyout was done in the middle of the month. The 11 sessions (each session costs $55 for 25 mins, so this equals to $605) disappeared from my account. Now when I call corporate office or write to their VP explaining all this issue, no response. GREAT!! Also in 3 months personal training program, they changed my personal trainer for 3 times. They hire inexperienced college going students who do not stay long. At the time of signing the contract, they tell you all good things that their trainers are certified and all. But none of them have proper physique and I highly doubt they are certified. RUN AWAY FROM THIS GYM. THERE ARE BETTER GYMS...
