Ideally, this is my preferred parking lot of choice when visiting the park. If finding a spot, the town is about a 10-15 minute walk away. To ensure you secure a parking space, it's advised to arrive early as the lot will fill up quickly given the its size of 30 spaces. Be sure to gain one of the several types of park passes because they are required upon entering. Generally, park staff is around to greet visitors and manage all visitor pass transactions on weekends. However, if they aren't present, be sure to purchase a park entrance pass at the corner of the lot before leaving the area.

Fills up quickly so get here early. Great place to park and is a short walk to the historic area of Harpers Ferry. Can get hot in the summer. Bring water if needed. Parking can be paid online or with the envelopes provided. If you have a park pass, display it by attaching to rear view mirror. But you still need to fill out the envelope and write your pass number on it.

Park here instead of the visitors center if you plan to go on the trail. You save 30+ minutes walking on the road. Trail is amazing with great views at the end.

Almost always full on Saturdays and Sunday unless arriving early and part of Harpers Ferry National Historical Park the River Access Parking Area requires an NPS Pass or a digital payment along with ones license plate to park. The lot is centrally located within the Park and is best used to access The Loudon Heights Trail to Split Rock or Appalachian Trail Southbound. No grilling, fires, or alcohol allowed in...

Nice parking area located close to the national park (maybe .5 miles).

I arrived early on a Sunday morning around 7:30 and there was plenty of parking! You are supposed to pay $20 to park via an envelope in a little box but I'm not sure how enforced that is. I have a national park pass so I didn't worry about it.

By the time I left around 9:30 there were still a dozen or...
