Johnson Field Preserve at Mackerel Cove — Attraction in Harpswell

Nice little beach area. We actually were driving to the lands end gift shop area and saw this place as we were driving by. We turned around and checked it out. Glad we did, great view.

There is limited parking but the time we were there it was relatively empty, only about 8 other people in the area. This year there is a lot of seaweed washed up on the shore but that was everywhere we went. The beach was clean except for that.

Never can get enough of this place. Mackerel Cove is one of the most picturesque places in Maine. This park is small but it's a public space that allows you to park, picnic and take in the fantastic views.
