Fishnet Cafe — Restaurant in Harpswell

We drove by after a visit to Bailey Island Beach, then turned around to try it and we're so glad we did! We chose to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. The atmosphere was casual and friendly, with couples, families, and even a large group of friends enjoying the evening. Plus 2 adorable, little pups.

Everything was delicious! We started with the crab dip which we all devoured, LOL. Hubby chose the chicken dinner with garlicky mash and it was sooooo yummy. I chose the crab cakes and they were DELISH! We finished with the fresh, homemade blueberry pie and chocolate mousse - perfection!

Definitely grab a bite or stop in for a drink if you're on the island. They serve wine, beer and a few...

Absolutely wonderful experience. My partner has Celiac disease and ordered a plate of eggs, bacon and home fries. When asked if she wanted toast, she told our excellent server (Abby!) that she cannot eat any bread with gluten in it - Abby came back five minutes later and told her that their chef can’t eat gluten either and offered to make her gluten-free toast!! My partner was so touched by this gesture and ordered a delicious breakfast sandwich on gluten-free toast. She said it tasted like a family member made it (high, high praise!), it was so comforting and delicious. It was a perfect experience and we really appreciated the staff’s generosity. The place looks great and has a nice vibe, so we were hopeful. We arrived at 10 AM on a Saturday. After sitting for 10 minutes without menus or a greeting, we had to ask for menus ourselves. We waited another 5 minutes after that still no acknowledgment from anyone, so we left. They were busy, but only one table had food, which was concerning. Disappointing experience overall. Hopefully, it was just an off day, but we didn’t stick around...
