We had to come up to Maine for a wedding but took a little time to explore the island and we were not disappointed! This island is surrounded by stunning ocean views mixed with fall colors in the trees; this island is a photographers paradise! We stayed at Cooks Island View motel which the staff was super friendly and the rooms were really clean and neat for a good price. Our friends wedding was at the driftwood inn which is a bunch of little cozy cabins with ocean views. We visited Mackerel Cove which had a little beach full of beach glass as well as views of moored boats. We also visited Giant stairs which is a hiking trail near the edge of the island which has sweeping views of the ocean mixed with tons of compressed rock formations. We only had time for one meal and chose Giant Stairs Seafood and we were not disappointed! So delicious! The last stop we made was Bailey Island Beach which is at the end of the island. It’s a better view of turnip island and Jaquish Island. There is a gift shop there called lands end filled with fun ornamental goods. I highly recommend visiting this island! It will be good for the person who just wants to relax and be disconnected...

Cooks Lobster & Ale House is a fantastic full service restaurant with delicious food & amazing views. The cribstone bridge is the only one of its kind in the world. Giants Stairs is a hidden gem hiking trail with spectacular ocean views (wear good hiking shoes!), and stop to take a pic or two of...
