Mariners Pointe is located on Crocker Blvd in Harrison Township, and Metropolitan Parkway (also known as 16 Mile Road.)
This shopping center is very busy. It is on the border of Harrison Township, Mount Clemens, and Clinton Township.
As for overall appearance, it looks great. Recently they painted all the buildings, and repaved the walkway.
So starting left to right, we have Kroger, then Verizon, CVS, Little Ceasers Pizza, Wild Tobacco Shop, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Chinese Eatery, Fitness Center, Nail Salon, Great Clips, Subway, St. John's Providence Urgent Care, Physical Therapy Center and curving off to the right McDonalds.
Next to Kroger on the left are the Metro Towers Apartments.
Across the street you will see a Flagstar Bank.
Now I shop at the Kroger in Mariners Pointe and I can say with confidence that the store is clean, well stocked, friendly employees and sells stamps and lotto.
The Verizon store I have never been in, so I cannot comment on that. Never looks too busy from what I have seen.
The CVS here is always well stocked, consistently busy, friendly employees, informative and efficient pharmacists, and the store is always clean.
Little Ceasers Pizza has been affected by covid. So somedays they are closed due to worker shortages. But if you catch them when they are open, it is delicious and perfect for those on a budget. The staff is hard worker and friendly and the store is always clean.
The Tobacco Shop, I cannot comment on because I do not smoke, vape, chew, eat, or what have you. I am not a participant. So I have never been and cannot comment.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe is always a treat. Their shop is clean, always. The employees are friendly, hardworking, and happy. Not to mention they make the most soft, moist, melt in your mouth snickerdoodle cookies I have ever tasted. It is a true challenge to go in and not walk out with at least one cookie. Their smoothies are made with fresh, healthy ingredients, when mixed together is perfection. They do have food here too, I have just never tried it. But the chicken wraps always smell phenomenal. Overall great atmosphere.
Chinese Eateries has the best vegetable fried rice and almond cookies. They give you a lot of food too, so you get your monies worth. The employees are busy but friendly. And the store is small but clean. I would check out the vegetable fried rice for sure.
The Fitness Center is open 24 hours, I believe. I do not have a membership but I see they have a ton of machines. And the employees always clean them after usage.
The Nail Salon, is right next door. The salon offers a wide variety of nail polish colors and designs. The employees are focused and efficient. They also strive to make sure the salon and the tools they use are all clean.
Great Clips is right next door to that. A group of talented hairdressers who are friendly, enthusiastic and eager to style your hair or trim it to something fashionable. Their salon is always clean. And the atmosphere is just fun.
Following that is a Subway. This location is usually busy. Their store is clean, well stocked, with friendly and fast employees.
The last place on the right is St. John's Providence Urgent Care. This is always busy and always clean. The staff here are thorough. And sometimes there is a bit if a wait. But that is because the doctors here are attentive.
Also within is the Physical Therapy Center. I have never been, but they always seem busy.
The McDonalds is ALWAYS busy. Somedays the drive thru lines are slow, somedays they are fast. It just depends on the time and day I guess. They mostly get the orders right but during a busy time I would double check just to be safe. Other than that the restaurant is mostly clean inside and out. They have a nice picnic table and in the spring they always plant flowers.
Overall, Mariners Pointe gets a 9/10. Since I haven't been to every shop, I can't give it a 10 out of 10 but it's a nice and safe area to shop in.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
Stay safe....
Read moreThis is my nearest shopping center to home, and it's packed with convenience, thankfully! (After one year of living near, this is my assessment;) The driveway's a little steep on the north entrance, but the Kroger, tropical smoothie, and McDonald's are managed well! (Good service and consistency.) Unfortunately the little Caesars, and the wild bills are not on par... even for $5, the pizza is bad quality. And idk how people even go into this wild bills; it ALWAYS smells!! (Like sewage!) The service was never worth pushing through either- compared to the passion I'm met with at...
Read moreThe Plaza itself is decently kept. The traffic flow is terrible. You take your own life into your hands just trying to navigate the one ways and barriers. The whole parking area needs reconfiguration. Then, be careful pulling out of the entrance nearest to Metro Parkway as the road doesn't meet the parking approach correctly and the front end of most non SUV or truck vehicles will bottom out in the front. I cringe when I have to...
