I'm not sure what's wrong with the air and/or watercooler @ corporate stores; they're rude, belligerent, & curt @ best. The highest rating for a corporate store was 3.8, & I'm not certain how they rate that. In contrast, authorized dealers seem to have much higher ratings.
4 months ago, I had a terrible time @ 2 corporate stores near me on a Saturday. The employees were as I described previously. It was so bad that I came the closest to breaking someone's face in 20+ years. My GF had to pull me out of the store. I was SO angry that I ended up @ an AT&T store Sunday morning.
It was night & day. The people @ AT&T were very polite & responsive. Yet, in the 3-4 months I had AT&T, the connectivity was/is terrible. Therefore, I called corporate & decided to switch back to Verizon. I was NOT going to step foot inside a corporate store for fear I might end up in jail.
Transferring/porting from AT&T to Verizon online was NOT a smooth process. After porting both phones, the agent told me to shutdown the phone for 5 minutes, boot, then our phones would be on the Verizon network. . . NOT. Neither phone had any network activity, so I ran to the closest store which was an authorized dealer.
We ran into the store & met Tiffany, what a lovely young lady. She was VERY friendly, VERY knowledgeable, & VERY personable. She had our phones fixed within 10 minutes. There are certain things an authorized dealer can’t do that a corporate can (i.e. – wave activation fees), but Tiffany has made us a fan of the Harrison Township Crocker store. Thank you Tiffany, keep up the...
Read moreWorst experience ever. Said they were going to lower my bill by converting to a business account and give me two tablets. After waiting for 1.5 hours for them to do this....my bill doubled....from 75.43 in August to $142.99 monthly. Lots of time on phone with Verizon to fix, bill got converted to paperless w/o me knowing, so I didn't get a bill and phones got shut off and it was $20 per line to re-connect. Nightmare! Verizon corporate told me that this store did this to get their sales numbers up. The tablets they "gave me" counted as a sale for them and ran my bill up. Never go in there again. This is an authorized dealer, but not an actual Verizon store. Had to pay a fee of about $300 to cancel the two tablets they "gave me"....what a mess. Must admit, I feel stupid for letting some punk screw me like that. Do not trust them.
Update months later: I got a bill from a third party for the two tablets they "gave" me. Since I cancelled the service on them, they wanted $600 for the tablets. I made them send me a copy of the contract and it said I could return the tablets instead of paying, so I did. This place is run by a bunch of kids looking to make a commission and I doubt the good reviews a lot. All the generic reviews that say, "great staff" "friendly"...
Read moreI have always gone to this Verizon store ever since they first opened. After hiring some new unfriendly employees my last couple of visits have been unpleasant. I called to ask about the iPhone bogo deal going on and the salesperson refused to give me any quote or information on the sale over the phone, insisting that I come in. I decided to drive there in hopes of dealing with someone else which I was able to. Unfortunately, this gentlemen was worse. He took 10 minutes of trying to get me to change a phone number or drop a line “to get me a good price” which I told him upfront I wasn’t doing, still not letting me know the price. Eventually he told me and I told him no and then he tried to sell me another way an I still said no and he said “you didn’t think to look up the sale”. I found this very rude especially since I called to get information on the sale and was declined the information from his coworker. That will be my last time ever...
