A lovely quiet beach that is indeed public, but you have to go through the resort gates and state that you want to visit the beach. There is parking for visitors but it is limited, and I would not be surprised if the quantity of visitors is controlled to avoid swarming the beach with (let’s face it) loud, trash-depositing tourists that harm the local fauna/trespass onto resort property. The beach itself is very nice, and probably one of the cleanest and quietest beaches on the island.
The beach ranges from sandy to rocky, with areas of smaller waves to areas that only experienced swimmers/surfers should visit. Because this long stretch of beach doesn’t get lots of people, there’s a lot of wildlife to see; lots of tide pools that house interesting shellfish, crabs, and fish. Some of the pools are large enough that you might see bigger fish without needing to go for a swim. Overall I would say this is a beach for strolling along the coastline, dipping your feet in shallow waters, and looking at wee critters that live between the rocks.
