I've been going to this Costco for a while now and never had any problems until today. Everything was going well until I went to checkout. Dorothy (i think that was her name), the person running the register, was showing poor customer service. Not just to me but to a few people that she helped before me. For example, the elderly lady in front of me was trying to show her membership card. When she was doing this she didn't realize that she was standing the wrong side of the register. So Dorthy with attitude was telling her that she was on the wrong side and had to move on the other side. She was giving her attitude and was just being super unprofessional. I get that she was in the right to tell the lady to go on the other side. But she shouldn't be so harsh and cold. I even heard her tell the other girl working the next register to her that and i quote " I"f(word) when they do that". On top of that when It was my turn, I had probably like 15 items tops. I had fixed all my items with the barcode facing up, that way it's a faster checkout process. But she then goes and tells me to take everything out of my cart. It was 10 items at most. Plus they were all small items. I've never had this problem with any other cashier. Anyways I did what she said since I didn't want to argue with her. She then proceeded on scanning my items but was being careless with how she was handling them. With one of those items being some eggs. When she placed them down without caring if the break or not. I noticed that one of them had cracked a little. I didn't say anything since I didn't want her to get even more upset and treat me with less respect. Read moreTwo weeks ago, I had the worst experience ever at this Costco. The cashier, Cristy, displayed severe discriminatory behavior. When it was my turn to check out, two staff members were at register 17. From the beginning, I could sense Cristy impatience in her tone. One of them assisted me in placing items on the belt. I made it clear to her that I needed to split the payment into two separate orders, even I used hand to point to explain how to do it. When Cristy scanned the items, I didn't hear her instructions clearly, resulting in her not separating the orders. When I asked to splitting the orders, she rudely claimed I had already chosen to pay together, despite both of them knowing I wanted two separate transactions. I didn't want to argue, so I asked if she could help me separate the orders. At this point, she vehemently refused and loudly demanded I go to another checkout lane. I was stunned, watching her put all my items back into the cart while continuously blaming me arrogantly. She rudely told me, “I don’t care about who you are even you watching me." Then she continued to yelling at me in front of many people. It was my first experience of feeling humiliated in this country. Perhaps she thought my English was poor or had some other reason, but it was her job, and I hadn't made an unreasonable request. I complained to the manager, but the staff there only understood the situation and asked me to leave. I also filed my experience on Costco's website, where another person reconfirmed the incident, but there has been no follow-up until now.
