TL;DR: Nice large dog park for both small and large. Plenty of seating plenty of room. Drink available for dogs only no bathrooms for humans. This is an excellent size dog park. Both the small dog section and the large dog park section are very well sized. There's a lot of seating here. There's a single shade structure in the small dog park. And two in the large dog park. It's a natural grass/weeds park. None of the weeds are of the pokey variety. But there is a single tree in the large dog park that drops pokeballs. No bathrooms for the humans but plenty for the dogs. Lots to sniff. And trash cans on site. There are poop bag dispensers near the entrance for patrons. On the other side of the fence there are a few picnic tables.

Good sized fully fenced in dog park with a big dog area and a small dog area separated by a fence. Both sides have fully working dog and human water fountains, and leash/unleash areas to let your dog on/off leash safely. Multiple wooden benches to sit at and a couple benches even have awnings over them for shadey seating. Mostly grassy but there was some muddy areas. Very mellow vibe, sunny all day when it's out and would 100% recommend taking your dog there, big or small.

Pros: - beautiful place - pretty big park, lots of space to walk your pet - pretty low traffic Cons: - been here twice, and every time there was some di*khead with one or more completely unsocialized dogs hogging the park. Looking at you guy with two huskies. You'd be better served driving an extra few minutes and going to the park in Castro valley avoiding the clowns here.

Dog park always has issues with the water lines/water fountains leaking and creating a lot of mud. Water bowls are filthy both from animal use but also by “people in the park” who use it to bathe, etc.

Also, if you have a small dog, be careful of the folks who come thru the small dog area to either cut thru or to leave their big dog in the small dog area, “because my dog is friendly with little dogs.” There have been several incidents at this park with owners of these “friendly” large dogs being bullies (some threatening violence) to everyone else in the small dog area who object to dogs coming in who are over the weight limit stated on the sign by the dog park gate. There have also been incidents of these same “friendly” large dogs attacking/harming smaller dogs at the park. I’ve been coming to this park for nearly a decade now and while most of the people who come here are nice enough, the issues I noted happen frequently enough here that it’s worth...

It was pretty cool. There were a lot of people there the last time I went. Counted 22 at one point and I'm sure there were more that showed up after that. To be fair that wasn't normal. One little doggie was having a birthday and a lot of her friends showed up so I guess it was a little birthday party. Most of them had costumes( Halloween) and they were so cute! But some of the people we're not wearing masks and failing to practice social distancing. So that put me off a little. But there is plenty of places to park on the street and it was pretty clean I guess. And most of the dogs were really well-behaved. There is separate areas for big dogs and little dogs. And water available as well as poop...
