El Michoacano — Attraction in Hemet

My husband and I stopped into El Michoacano in Hemet for the first time, planning to just pick up a few pounds of flat meat. On a whim, we decided to try a couple of al pastor burritos—best last-minute decision ever! The burritos were massive, packed with flavor, and honestly, we could have easily shared one. From the moment we walked in, the gentleman at the register was welcoming and kind, even sending us off with a container of fresh salsa on the house. The server who looked after us was just as great—friendly, attentive, and quick to notice I needed a knife to tackle the burrito. He even grabbed us extra salsas (all delicious) and brought a drink from the cooler. The total came out to $26 for two burritos, which felt like a steal considering the size and quality. This place just opened and I popped in for a carne asada burrito. It was delicious! I got it with just the meat, guacamole, and pico. The meat was excellent, the pico was fresh (added points for cucumber in the pico), and the guac was made well. They don't post prices on the menu, so the cost came as a small surprise (around $15), but it was really fat and full of carne, so the pricing wasn't crazily out of line for the times.

And I feel like this place is very value-added in this neighborhood as it also has a small bodega and a meat market in the back where you can pick up a jar of mayo or some meat for your dinner on your way home.

Went this morning to try it out saw all the great reviews on Facebook and I was not disappointed i usually get my meat from Los Altos but wanted to try a new place I believe I got marinated flap meat it was $12.99 a pound kinda pricey but soooooo good perfect seasoning more savory than sweet which I prefer it’s a beautiful store with lots of goodies customer service was great loved everyone’s personality and also received a complimentary salsa that was so good I will definitely be back and tell my fam/friends about this new find!
